QUOTE(man_hakim87 @ Jan 17 2013, 04:04 PM) Just called brightstar service center. They verbally quote me RM400.00 for a new set of housing and the waiting period is 3 weeks to 1 month. wah..u call directly..i just send email..huhu.. QUOTE(fik92 @ Jan 17 2013, 05:48 PM) wah , better go get gred A housing . QUOTE(man_hakim87 @ Jan 17 2013, 05:52 PM) Yeah. But i have bad experience in grade a ori brand housing. Plus mine still hv 1 year warranty. So kinda a bit sayang to void it. same here..had bad experience with grade a.. i'll just wait until the warranty finish, then change the housing and buy full body protection for it and apply it upon installation of the new housing.. regretted not doing it earlier now..

QUOTE(msn83235502 @ Mar 5 2013, 11:03 PM) hi.. i just wanna ask about how to turn off completely the phone. i saw my fren's 9790 has the option to turn off completely when we press the off button for a period of time.do i need to update the os, i'm on .794 there's no such thing as turning the phone off completely as this is a feature of BB itself. your friend only turn the phone temporarily and can be waked up with one touch to the power button.there is no need to update as it is not regarding OS at all. the only way to completely turn off the phone is to remove the battery. Guys, correct me if i am wrong.

QUOTE(msn83235502 @ Mar 6 2013, 08:34 PM) when my fren hold the power button, it gave him 2 option..turn off completely, or just turn off device.dat's why i wonder.haha.. need to check back next week is he installed any third party software. that is because he set the alarm..turn off the device if you want it to turn back on for the alarm automatically.. turn off completely means the phone will not turn on to wake you up..

QUOTE(affirmative90 @ Mar 8 2013, 01:56 PM) Hello peeps. I'm planning to get myself a 9790 later. Can teach me some tips on how and what to check during purchase? and how to make sure the set is original? thanks alot! Upon receiving the phone, do this. Go to Settings, Device, Device and Status Information, and simply type BUYR, no need to press alt or anything. It will show you the buyer's remorse. This information is embedded to the chip that no matter how many time they formatted, soft bricked, and remove the OS/reinstall, it would stay the same. If the phone is new, your data usage would be empty. If the phone is not new, it would show that the data usage has exceeded some point. See my screenshot of mine. Attached thumbnail(s)

QUOTE(DM3 @ Mar 12 2013, 10:02 AM) thanks for the link: most say helps with the batt but this person says otherwise: QUOTED: Kris308 Today, 01:31 PM #25 upgraded to this version last evening, batt life is pathetic, just lasted me 2 hours (music on/BBM/Whatsapp usage, GPS switched off as well)..not sure if its a device prob, switching back to the previous version (it gave me 4 hrs of the above said usage).. Also i noticed that, though the batt level is say 33%, all of a sudden, i get batt is too low to use radio message and then the network goes off,,and then in few secs it is restored..strange..this never happend with the prev version...Guys, have u faced similar issues, do let me know if this could be hardware/software related. thanks the bolded one is still happening to me.. I think this is due to the battery instead of the OS.. Some more this below pic happened to me twice, to which I need to blow the gold connector, and connect the charger to a higher capacity plug..
