QUOTE(speedfamgirl @ Feb 22 2008, 09:33 AM) ummm yeah for now. i think the best option for u now is try to find and dl the control cd off the net for mixvibes, and of course the mixvibes software itself, and hook it all up with the soundcard and laptop..but if possible i would like to use them also with my upcoming cdj800mk2 later. still thinking of how to configure it out. lol @ Choong's pic wait until u see my setup next week some more i put my mixer & cdj under the bed cos no room. waiting for me to move out to my new house then i'll buy myself a proper table. i didnt know u can dl the control cd until recently hehe |

this is pretty similar to the setup i explained a couple of pages back, but if u still wanna use the cdjs then use the tc cds and just the maya44, no need for internal. btw i dont understand why u bought a mixer that's clearly for scratching (pmc07 yeah?), the eqs arent suitable for normal mixing

well i think 800 is better cause u dont have to press down when queing up, 1000 has that little nudge, it throws u off abit..
nowdays most of the top end mixer are with digital boards, meaning its not mechanical anymore, taking away the wear and tear which leads to the 'bleeding' ur talking about. djm800 is fully digital, sweet ass mixer yeah.. damn u pimpin haha Added on February 23, 2008, 12:31 am QUOTE(speedfamgirl @ Feb 22 2008, 07:55 PM) aiya u so fast maa..just put on sale terus org angkut! the thing is the eqs are sliders..hmm... thinking..thinking.. boleh kut.. just need to be careful with the level yeah, the slides are pretty short kan? actually thinking about it, it might be interesting to mix on that, im pretty rough on the eqs, u can do pretty wicked stuff with two three eqs at one go.. hmm menarik.. tell me how it goes hahathis is my doubts few pages back regarding the mixer. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...entry14216705 btw, i understand that the 800mk2 is suitable for scratching? by looking at some youtube videos to further deepen my believes on that matter. i dunno if the pmc07 & 800mk2 may do a great companion for battle djs? too bad, i'm more of a trance person. but here people dont listen to it...i guess i'll spin reggaeton or dangdut later if want to land in local pub go try to play some trance with tribal la, then spin at rainforest music festival haha This post has been edited by westokan: Feb 23 2008, 12:31 AM |

QUOTE(speedfamgirl @ Feb 23 2008, 08:33 AM) that's for pro battle dj using 1000, i'm total noob especially when it comes to real hardware. nah i dont scratch, would love to incorperate that into my mix, just dont have the timing for it.. what i usually mix is tech house, minimal or sometimes house, but my main passion is techno. its beat driven which i like and most of the top techno djs are into all the innovation that we enjoy now, eg richie hawtin consulted on the design of final scratch (the first dvs) and also ipod, chris liebing for traktor and reason, to name a few..it's my 1st time i meet real dj mixer & cdjs in my life! even i've yet to meet my 800 because they arrived at my home when i'm still offshore now. yeah, i've read somewhere that the PMC07 was pretty high end altho it's looks simple. the faders are damn smooth, even you can blow on it it actually slides a bit! (nah, just exxagregating Added on February 23, 2008, 8:39 am i thinks it's feels just the same with knob eq's but on pmc07 there is less knobs, only the side part where we can set the fader curve. and the sliding eq imo would not get you wrong cos it's not as smooth as the crossfaders...so u can actually control the amount of movement when u want to adjust something....just my noob 2 cents well i can dreamt about djm800 for now....even to get the simplest pioneer gear will cost you an arm or a leg btw, westokan...do you scratch? or just playing any other types of music? im not really into trance, did dabble in it when i started going to raves and listening to edm back in the late 2001, it just didnt had an impact on me.. then caught umek and valentino aka recycled loops playing at what is now called espanda (i think it is called that eh?), it opened my eyes to it, then went to kent extract finale at sepang where simon coyle, kevin saunderson and space djz played, i was sold.. Added on February 23, 2008, 12:27 pm QUOTE(XtOtH3D @ Feb 23 2008, 10:44 AM) hello everyone...yesterday is my 2nd class in Extreme records .... so far so good .... tutor friendly ... boss friendly .... lik no gaps between us ....my class until now was starting to pitching with 2 not same speed turntables ... 2 weeks more to go CDJ =) ..... ableton was rOx the function is very good . teach me ableton after this ok? heheAdded on February 23, 2008, 12:28 pm QUOTE(Choongster @ Feb 23 2008, 11:23 AM) you expecting this to be like highschool student-teacher relationship? lol that way no one will subscribe to D J school .. lol. u had some bad experience with teachers huh hahahCIKGU DJ - semalam kenapa tak siap mixing yang cikgu bagi? Student - semalam rumah takda electric, CDJ tak jln Cikgu. Cikgu DJ - saya tak kisah, pakai discman la ... tonggeng buntut .. cikgu nak rottan ni .. QUOTE(speedfamgirl @ Feb 23 2008, 01:01 PM) waa that cikgu dj really garang ooh! yeah they had some great tracks back in the day but now their sets are just a tad cheesy..dont want la to go to dj class after this. Added on February 23, 2008, 1:04 pm when i was in my noob year listening to edm music i always confuse betweeh techno, eurodance, dream(??), and trance. i like the uplifting style only & lil prog style from 2005. after that it's become more shittier combines with asot & it's popularity. then i look into some harder trance & psy. btw, umek & valentino are amazing! i have some of their tracks as well...but not that much. |

wah wah wah, gallery de' LYNdeejays eh? heheh
nice gear speed, for a so called noob its a great set u have there.. no shame in starting big, hell its better cause u wont be frustrated with those troublesome cheap setup.. Added on March 1, 2008, 1:31 pm QUOTE(Choongster @ Mar 1 2008, 12:07 PM) are you running virtual DJ with CD Timecode controller? Otherwise I don't see the reason for you to use the maya USB . you can straight mix out of the CD. thats not too bad la choong, check out this mixer:btw.. it's not a noob gear..it's consider high end i started off with behringer VMX-100 with two laptops. then VMX-100 with entry level Stanton 8-30 and slowly progressing .. now that is noob gear.. ![]() haha i actually kinda miss it, love those analog output level meter, kinda like revvin' the car! haha This post has been edited by westokan: Mar 1 2008, 01:31 PM |

try getting those black-bottom cds to burn ur tracks, it works well for me and its pretty scratch-resistant.. btw i think the loop selector on 800s is better than the ones on 1000s cause its accurate and fixed

QUOTE(speedfamgirl @ Mar 1 2008, 02:06 PM) ok will try that as soon as i buy some blank black bottom cdr nope dont have 1000s and i dont really use cdjs, so cant really tell u anything.. i ~think 1000s has a sampler.. but the track wave indicator on 1000s really helps hehe.. for someone who uses software before, u might find it useful speedloop selection is fine, very fine & as accurate as they were on virtual dj u have a 1000? it's prettier cosmetically & i almost want to get them just because of their looks! but when i saw the 800 for real, it's not that bad after all. umm, any advantages of the 1000 over the 800 besides the memory card? maybe its the burning software, try the most accessable software we have, windows media player! no problem burning there... unless u wanna have all mp3s, than use something like nero, i had a similar problem with cds when burning it with nti.. |

pimp- well its a wake up call for the govt, hope they'll do better next time..
yeah its a shop called hi way laser, if u know a better price than what ive mentioned, let me know ya, just a future planning on what to get next.. thanks for the mixer offer but i got a mixer already, just that an installation 19" mixer might not be suitable for me in a long run.. thats why im looking into djm700 cause i want a digital board but i dont think i need all the fancy other stuff on djm800 choong- yeah would like to order if its not too much problem for your friend.. i can give u the money anytime, im in kajang, whereabouts are u? red- try out frontallabs forum, i saw this: http://www.frontallabs.com/phpbb/viewtopic...ighlight=serato if u wanna try torq, there's a last unit left at smx, going for 1.1k |
