i tot we go lepak at xtothed place .. if u want to bring your gears... then i'll bring my whole vinyl mixvibes setup .. otherwise i'll just bring the CD timecode/soundcard/laptop/ ... probably mixer ..

t's better to start slow picking up the basic rather than jumping on the band wagon and realised it's all wrong later.. ...
and when you try to learn the basic from start again.. it's hard to drop the bad habit u picked up earlier...
speaking from experience.. ... i use to just simply scratch .. and end up picking up all the wrong and bad thing... when i try to go back to basic ... it was hard ..


the practical will come when u put in more practise ....
i myself is still learning and being "away" from my turntables doesn't really help ... still waiting to customize my DJ Console ...

like xtothed.. he ate maggi mee for like 6 months... ...
westokan .... have to wait for a good opportunity to get good bargains
i took almost 3 years to complete my set .....

so ... it's not rich ... it's about willing to save and willing to spend ..
look on the bright side ... at least you got gears to play with ....

westokan and the other guys.... probably meeting up tonight at xtothed's cybercafe ... if want to join plz confirm asap .. before 6pm today so can direct you there ...

successfully met up with xtothed and all i can say is .. CDJ ain't for me .. furthermore my Mixvibes wasn't working properly with CDJ-400 ...everything felt so small .. and the mixer is just .. too big ... too many buttons for me .. haha

think my advice was all half past six as i couldn't really show you what i meant .. CDJ is just too hard for me to control ...
and .. you really need to know your gears ...especially the crossfader..

Nope, never try CDJ before ...now i know why.. don't like it ...keke
this weekend i'm not around ...

u can expose her to piano/guitar etc first.. ..that will teach them about Beats per minute(BPM) .... how fast they should play etc .. that way they can implement the knowledge into mixing .. later in life ..
but to explain mixing etc.. it's harder cuz .. she&you need to know how to count the bars, identify the bars , a bit of physical maneuvers ..and must be able to join two songs together ...

about the turntables.. there is this entry level t urntables for beginners .. Numark DJ Battle PAK ... it cost about 1.8K .. everything provided .. 2x turntables .. mixer .. headphones.... speaker sendiri supply la ..

eh i didnt say CDJ sucks or anything .. just that CDJ is not for me.. so yea..
