thx............i saw behind the CDJ400 got usb port... i wonder can i plug in to my laptop as controller by using some software ? except serato
*
if it's on the CDJ .. means you can load MP3 straight from your USB thumbdrive ..
i don't know if there is any cable for PC to connect to CDJ using USB to USB
that USB port is for you to connect external storage like HDD/ThumbDrive

that one u need a midi controller..
midi controller are like Keyboard midi contrller (*those music keyboard.. not the QWERTY keyboard*)
or other music equipment like Vestax VCI-100, Trigger Finger .. etc...

^^^^

something lik above link ? ....... i was finding some software that like serato can control the music via laptop but no need to buy the thingy .....
*
from what i read from the link above .. your CDJ can work as a midi controller itself ..
my questions is what sort of cable do you use to connect CDJ to Computer? USB to USB ? never seen this cable type before ..
after the link above, I can confirm that your CDJ is also a MIDI controller ..smile.gif

QUOTE(e30 @ Apr 23 2008, 04:30 PM)
can i mix the vocals of 1 track with the beat of a different track using softwares like mixmeister?

@chhongster: i'm in subang. will try to meet up when not too busy
*
Yes you can , but you won't be able to cue unless you got two output from your soundcard ..
as i mentioned before .. 2 output = 1 for CUE/Listening through headphones ... 2nd.. to output live music

so if you are trying to beatmatch accapella(*vocals*) with instrumental (*Beat*) for LIVE set, everyone will hear you trying to beat match...
unless you do the beat matching before hand .. smile.gif ...
i hope i don't get too technical here and confuse you ..

Subang ..? hmm lets all have a TehTarik session ... SS15 ? .. i only know there .. LoL....
westokan/xtothed/e30/...anyone else interested????

this virtual dj count bpm correctly?
*
there is no software outthere that can count 100% correctly ..
it really depends alot on the quality of your files etc..so sometimes you just have to manually count it for certainly file
but generally .. it's quite accurate ..

for example .. my mixvibes... certain songs are accurate to beat.. some might be off ..
i can manually count with the spacebar and then it will overwrite the values ..

bleh....itula org cakap beli lah yg ori

coz i just discover that timecoded cd will never work with 'ahem' copy of virtual dj....luckily it was a cheap noob setup. but i think that buying maya 44 usb now is a waste of my rm500 & time  sad.gif

either i lelong the maya 44 usb, or looked for used original dvs system with timecoded cds or buy the virtual dj software itself from their website & still get the maya 44 usb to good use...
*
u sure? hmm time for some googling ..

so, dating laa?

hehehee biggrin.gif

anyway chong, still cannot la the timecode cd being detected by both of the DVS, mixvibes & virtual dj no matter how many times i followed the video  sad.gif
ah yeah, perhaps it's 'broken'
*
it's Choong with the double O's ...

there is only one way to find out ...
smile.gif sent to me for testing ... ..
but then again, without Timecode control, you can play song what
so maybe it's just the TIMECODE cd .. problem ..

if u not using the DVS setup .. you can link your mixer output into your MAYA and then 2 outputs to .. speakers .. and another to a recording device.. most probably your computer ..

then maya output to speaker & laptop? correct?tv
well my laptop has no line in, only mic & headphone
this part i dunno how...is the usb connection saja tak cukup ka?
i dont get any waves in my recording software after that...
*
that I don't know.if u can set ur recording device to record direct output of maya then ok.otherwise u have to manually record using the mic jack.just make sure your output is not too high.
