Hot Wheels is cheaper - around $25.90 each and the bunch of ships in my signature photo are from them! rclxms.gif

Just got myself these from the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale in The Mines Exhibition Center. Made a move to the Book Sale at 5am just now when I found out through a Facebook post of a friend that this very Limited Edition was available for sale there.

Only 5000 of these were made. The first 125 numbered copies were signed by the Academy Award winning team that made the original Star Wars, and sells for USD1500-2000 each. This is the"Star Wars: The Blueprint" Limited Edition. The rest of the 5000 limited copies retails for USD500. They're selling for RM1499 here at the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale, with additional 10% discount at purchase.

The packaging weighs close to 15 kg, the book alone is 10kg, as big as a coffee table.

Star Wars The Blueprints brings together, for the first time, the original blueprints created for the filming of the Star Wars Saga.

Drawn from deep within the Lucasfilm Archives and combined with exhaustive and insightful commentary from best-selling author J. W. Rinzler the collection maps in precise, vivid and intricate detail the very genesis of the most beloved story ever to appear onscreen.

Star Wars: The Blueprints gives voice to the groundbreaking and brilliant engineers, designers, and artists that have, in film after film, created the most imaginative and iconic locales in the history of cinema. Melding science and art, these drawings giving birth to fantastic new worlds, ships, and creatures.

Most importantly, Blueprints shows how in bringing this extraordinary epic to life, the world of special effects as we know it was born. For the first time, here you will see the initial concepts behind such iconic Star Wars scenes as the Rebel blockade runner hallways, the bridge of General Grievous’s flagship, the interior of the fastest “hunk of junk” in the Galaxy, and Jabba the Hutt’s palace. Never before seen craftsmanship and artistry is evident whether floating on the Death Star, escaping on a speeder bike, or exploring the Tatooine Homestead.

Star Wars: The Blueprints is a limited edition. Only 5,000 hand-numbered English language copies will be available.

Includes Star Wars: The Blueprints book, custom-made cloth case, and certificate of authenticity.

A custom-made cloth case holds the massive book of technical drawings within. Featuring 10 gatefolds that open to just shy of 4 feet in length, Star Wars: The Blueprints captures the original materials in breathtaking detail. Each book is hand-numbered and with an exclusive, limited run of only 5,000 English language copies, only the most passionate fans and collectors will have access to these prized documents and the incredible story they tell.

Speaking of Big Bad Wolf, are there any good Star Wars books available? hmm.gif

I bought this "Star Wars Annual 2016" from MPH 1 Utama and for an affordable $39.90. For such a "simple" book, at least it comes with sufficient details on stuff like Top 10 Villains, the Planets of the Star Wars universe, and even some of the spacecraft like X-Wing and TIE Fighter. And not forgetting stuff for the kids like some coloring pages and maze games! thumbup.gif

If any of you are looking at books in that MPH outlet, do check it out! rclxms.gif

Hey mate, your models are almost like mine (made by Hot Wheels), but with more detail! rclxms.gif

Where did you get them from, by the way, and who's the manufacturer? hmm.gif

Can't wait to get my tickets very soon, but whether I'll be watching the afternoon, evening, or midnight screening is another story altogether, haha! laugh.gif

These were bought aeons ago around 2005/06..can find it everywhere at your local shopping malls back then at rm19.90. A marriage between Hasbro/Micro Machines/Galoob. There are a few others gathering dust but too lazy to take out and snap pics tongue.gif

I have a feeling the black series are just rehash of the titanium series which it was called back then. Cheers.

What's the size of those models? Are they roughly the same as the Hot Wheels collectibles I have?
