I know that Royal Selangor has a beautifully detailed Death Star trinket box costing $371.00, which I hope to get (when I receive my salary in the coming days, haha). I saw it on display at the Royal Selangor section at the Star Wars exhibition area in Mid Valley yesterday, actually! rclxms.gif

But seriously, where can I get a good scale model of that iconic, planet-destroying battle station? I remember having one during my college days (in the late 90s) and it was a kit-type, but subsequently destroyed due to a heavy fall from the display table! sad.gif

Do the model shops in Times Square or Amcorp Mall carry such models of the Death Star or not, by the way? hmm.gif

Which kit were you referring to?

Doubt any small scale is relevant for diorama or display use.

Only one i know is the star wars transformers one :

I forgot the brand as it was such a long time ago. hmm.gif

But if I'm not wrong, the company which made that kit (it's in six or eight parts, all to be attached together by joining each part - very straightforward) are also model ship people! laugh.gif

Here's the Millennium Falcon doing battle with three TIE Fighters but with a twist - it's above Earth's orbit and right in "eyesight" of a satellite! laugh.gif

Remembering the all-powerful, super-destructive Death Star 2 - and with the Millennium Falcon as well as an X-Wing Fighter approaching it! rclxms.gif

Wow, you bought both the "Escape from Jakku" play set and the Lego model (it's the one with over 5000 pcs. am I correct?)... Must have cost you a bomb for those two purchases then! icon_rolleyes.gif

In fact, I saw the Lego Millennium Falcon going on sale in Toys R Us at Paradigm Mall (for $749.90) and surprisingly, there were over 5 boxes on display (although that place was a letdown when it comes to those Hot Wheels miniature spacecraft - there were none available)! rclxms.gif

What better way to honor two iconic Star Wars Rebel spacecraft than to let them fly over our own icons, the Petronas Towers? And seems like the X-Wing from Mid Valley has also finally taken off, after being there for two weeks! laugh.gif

Now this is what I call a real-life Coruscant City - none other than the insanely fast-growing Dubai (if only the other high-rises surrounding the Burj Khalifa were taller)! laugh.gif

What better city for the Millennium Falcon and X-Wing Fighter to visit eh? rclxms.gif

Tks for sharing bro. You have some awesome photography and editing skills there!

Really? Thanks for the compliment! rclxms.gif

And I'm considered an amateur in this editing stuff, unlike those who create works of art using Photoshop. I'm only using Preview and PowerPoint! laugh.gif

Looks like many people are skipping midnight screenings at Paradigm Mall on the 17th and 18th eh... Because I live in one of the condos just opposite that mall and may want to watch "The Force Awakens" at midnight, with my wife's permission (she's not as big a Star Wars fan as me), haha! laugh.gif

And on these two days, there are still many empty seats at the midnight and even 9-something screenings, wonder why? Unless everyone is watching that movie in the more "popular" malls like 1 Utama, Mid Valley, Pavilion, Sunway Pyramid, and KLCC? hmm.gif

By the way, that Millennium Falcon has flown over to Dubai - the most Coruscant-like city on Earth, thanks to the iconic Burj Khalifa and numerous tall, thin towers all over the place. And still chasing after the X-Wing Fighter! rclxms.gif

They have this, TFA Resistance Xwing and the expensive 1/48 scale versions.
*
Amazingly realistic and detailed, that's all I can say - but too bad the price is crazily expensive! shocking.gif

Are those merchandise also sold in the other smaller Isetan outlets, by the way? I.e. 1 Utama and The Gardens? hmm.gif

What do you think ? brows.gif  brows.gif

Now that is quite a nice plaything, but $167.90 for an X-Wing Fighter that can "merely" move its wings is rather expensive, I must say! hmm.gif

By the way, what about the Star Wars Infrared Millennium Falcon that is sold in Toys R Us? That one can move like an RC car but it's even more pricey - at a cool $249.95! laugh.gif

Wow, you have one heck of a nice bunch of Star Wars items there, mate. And I like the lightsaber as well as that cool X-Wing Fighter and face masks! rclxms.gif

And not bad, you also bought many of those Hot Wheels models too (especially the two different TIE Fighters)! thumbup.gif

For die cast ships. Which one is better? Hot wheels or the hasbro black series?

Hot Wheels is cheaper - around $25.90 each and the bunch of ships in my signature photo are from them! rclxms.gif

Speaking of Big Bad Wolf, are there any good Star Wars books available? hmm.gif

I bought this "Star Wars Annual 2016" from MPH 1 Utama and for an affordable $39.90. For such a "simple" book, at least it comes with sufficient details on stuff like Top 10 Villains, the Planets of the Star Wars universe, and even some of the spacecraft like X-Wing and TIE Fighter. And not forgetting stuff for the kids like some coloring pages and maze games! thumbup.gif

If any of you are looking at books in that MPH outlet, do check it out! rclxms.gif

Just got myself these from the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale in The Mines Exhibition Center. Made a move to the Book Sale at 5am just now when I found out through a Facebook post of a friend that this very Limited Edition was available for sale there.

Only 5000 of these were made. The first 125 numbered copies were signed by the Academy Award winning team that made the original Star Wars, and sells for USD1500-2000 each. This is the"Star Wars: The Blueprint" Limited Edition. The rest of the 5000 limited copies retails for USD500. They're selling for RM1499 here at the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale, with additional 10% discount at purchase.

The packaging weighs close to 15 kg, the book alone is 10kg, as big as a coffee table.
The standard edition is available as hardcover version but much much smaller than this. The Limited Edition is MASSIVE!

They have 9 copies of this left, including the one under the huge acrylic case on display. One copy is also up for grab as the Book Sale's biggest contest prize of the event.

Wow, that is one heck of a MASSIVE Star Wars book! thumbup.gif

How did you arrange for it to be transported then? I presume you brought along a trolley to the Mines Exhibition Center for that purpose... laugh.gif

Where did you get them from, by the way, and who's the manufacturer? hmm.gif

And how fast time flies - "The Force Awakens" will be opening in a week's time! notworthy.gif thumbup.gif

Can't wait to get my tickets very soon, but whether I'll be watching the afternoon, evening, or midnight screening is another story altogether, haha! laugh.gif
