Anyone of you staying in Block B? Im on 17th Floor, got no internet yet, any kind soul willing to rent me the internet for 2 weeks? I think I'm still behind the queue for Maxis Fibre installation.  icon_question.gif (I will be a good boy and use it only for minimum download below 100 kb/s)

I relocated from Subang USJ to here, the maxis service rep told me there would be a relocation charge on my next billing.
But per the T&C posted in the main website -

www.maxis.com.my/en/personal/support/plans-and-services/internet-plans/maxis-fibre-internet/relocation-and-service-termination/q01.html
The relocation fee of RM 200 is current being waived. Shown that to the rep but she gave me a formal reply that if the service engineer charge me on the next billing I need to make an appeal....

Anyone relocated before?

I'm at Block B but I don't think you'll be able to even detect my signal with the level differences.

I'm on UNIFI too and I have never been charged for relocation. What's the fee for a fresh application?

http://www.maxisfibre.my/

No installation fee, but theres a contract of 2 years.

RM 148 for 10 mbps is a good deal comparing to UNIFI last time. Right now im not too sure whats the plan for UNIFI.

But on the market, the best should be TIME - http://www.time.com.my/consumer/time_fibre...VIcQaAtxc8P8HAQ

Their stability should be the best (I'm ex-UNIFI and ex-TIME user), and right now they have promo (8mbps for RM 129, after GST, RM 137)

Unfortunately, per their coverage check on the website, Zefer Hill is not covered. =(
*
Since fresh application is free and IF they insist that relocation would costs you RM200.00, might as well terminate your existing account and apply afresh laugh.gif

UNIFI is offering RM149.00 for 5Mbps only so yeah, RM148 for 10Mbps is quite a good deal, double the speed. Depending on what you want, I don't have Astro or any other mode of entertainment so i'll need a very fast internet speed. I'm currently subscribed to UNIFI's 30Mbps for RM179.00. I stream everything from movies to radios. There's not to complain about other than the occasionally drop in speed but nothing they can't fix through a few tweets.

Yeap, I've heard from many people that TIME is commendable but its coverage is very limited.

So far, there's no stability issue for UNIFI yet. My speed is quite consistent.

i don't think that we should be charged relocation fees right?
*
Well, there's no trite law as to whether what charges are "supposed" to be levied on the consumers by these ISPs. It's all stated in their contract and you've agreed to them upon signing up for their services so if they want to levy such charges then you will have to bound by it. Plus, this is a request made by the consumer so it is "additional work" to them.

But generally, if you asked me, ISPs shouldn't charge for relocation fees because technically speaking, they are not physically relocating the services, just merely diverting the flow. Base upon the law of reimbursement, unless the ISP has incurred costs for the relocation (travelling, wiring etc) then it is prudent that we reimburse to them such costs. Other than that, I don't think it is fair to levy any charges on the consumer especially to the ones who remained faithful to them for several years.

Anyone have any idea if there is anymore developer unit? Kinda interested here. Thanks.
*
The last I heard (in the month of October) is that there's a few units left but they are all facing undesirable directions and big units only so unless you have no preference then I'd suggest you shop around the market. There are quite a lot of people letting go units in Block A.

Hi all, I got to know about additional admin of RM50 for moving in cost other than the RM500 deposit. Is this true? RM50 is non refundable....
*
Apparently yes. The office takes "admin fees" for reasons unknown to me. So, they require you to pay RM550.00 to them and then they will only refund to you RM500.00. Same goes for the renovation deposit.

New resident reporting in,  Block B. May I know why are everyone selling off their units at Zefer Hill? Lol

Anybody plays badminton pls let me know, eager to get some exercise from 2016.

Also applied Maxis Fibre 10Mbps, hope the line will be stable.
*
Welcome neighbor, I'm also in Block B =)

Well, people selling off their units in Zefer aren't new. In fact, it has already started since VP was given last April.

Majority of the people there bought a unit there for investment purposes. I know of this when I signed the Sale and Purchase Agreement but I guess these investors did not contemplate that they are to sell off their units so quickly. Who would have thought our government could so effectively messed up our economy to this state of shit.

Don't worry though, it's not that Zefer has no market value or its value is depreciating. In fact, I've heard from some of the agents that Zefer is one of the most sought after property in Puchong but not sure how real is this after O'Haka and Twins has been completed but whatever it is, I think even for investment purposes, holding on Zefer may be a good choice. Afterall, it's at the highest peak on the hill in the vicinity =)

If what I was told is right, Maxis/UNIFI makes no difference because they both use the same lines to deliver the connection. I'm subscribed to UNIFI's 30Mbps and so far, the line isn't really THAT stable. Initially, I got what I bargained for but now, my connection dips to between 15Mbps - 25Mbps, only occasionally 28Mbps which is super rare but I guess you will be fine =).

Then again, welcome!

Thanks fellow neighbour smile.gif just installed Maxis today basic 10Mbps. Haven't got time to test anything yet as my home theatre is still being setup.

A lot of people doing renovation now that's the only down side, and the lift alarm has gone bonkers, keeps on beeping even after touching with access card.

Overall for own stay it's one of the nicer places in Puchong area and the view is the highlight of the unit especially for those 1700sf and above with a long balcony.
*
Yeah, plenty of people are rushing their renovations now, planning to move in before the next Chinese New Year but thankfully, contractors can only start work after 9pm and must stop before 5pm which is a relieve.

It's a good place to live, just that the road leading here now is very congested especially between 7pm - 9pm. The road is hogged by inconsiderate people who frequent the badminton court nearby. I cannot understand why despite having an ample open car park at the side of the building, these people still rather parked at the side and cause congestion.

I really hope one fine evening, MPSJ will come and tow all their damn cars away.

Long balcony is definitely a plus =)

An agent quoted RM530k for the Type R unit. Quite good reasonable price for its build up. Would like to have a look inside when got time.

Type R is what size?

By the way, some pictures to share. Taken during my first swim in its "infinity pool" laugh.gif

Sorry for the poor quality. Taken with my puny 8MP iPhone 5S =P

The depth is only 1.2M across and though it appears to be small but it's sufficient but I'm not sure if it's meant for families =/ may get a bit too crowded for comfort if so.

Used the gym facilities for the first time as well and I'm rather quite satisfied. Ample equipment and FREE WEIGHTS =D

Good morning!

Yes, it is.

To be honest, I'm quite satisfied with my purchase of this parcel in Zefer.
