Thanks for sharing your experience. I would like to supervise the rectification work as well but I can't leave my office so easily and they finish work at 5pm. The guy at the Project Management office said it will take at least 30 days to complete the work.
Did you or your friend check when they will start their repair work? Like which day they will be working on your friend's unit or a schedule or sorts. If I decide to do a surprise check and ended up seeing no one would be a waste of time and effort.
I don't mind chatting up with the workers. Would bring them drinks too if I know they will be there.
They do work on weekends so it may be beneficial if you drop by then and yes, they are obliged to complete the rectification works within a 30 days period window but I wouldn't rush them however I wouldn't also give them all the time in the world. At the end of the day, it's all about managing time.Did you or your friend check when they will start their repair work? Once they started working on your unit, they will complete it before moving to another. My friend's started about one week after the defect list was filed. They have separate teams doing separate things though. So, you cannot expect the guys who do skim coats to replace the wall plugs or tiles for you.
