Perhaps AVB want to torture Malouda by letting him get abused by Chelsea fans after playing.

Really fear against Man Utd, not sure how Bertrand gonna cope with Valencia since I rarely watch him play.

Btw: Patrick Bamford joins Chelsea from Nottingham Forest

Another young talent I guess.

Are you sure Bertrand will get the nod? We still have Ferreira. Maybe AVB can put Luiz as fullback and slot in Cahill in CB.

I'm not sure Ferreira can do well in LB . He rarely plays now.

Luiz untested in left back, but judging by today performance where he keep dribble at left wing..... whistling.gif

i think defensive part no much problem..it's not easy to slot in new players when your defensive dept is having some decent run. ok that goal was a lil bit unfortunate by cech..

prob is midfield.

inb4 we shud sign hazard. stop living with Roman's money for god sake and support a team when you should.

if AVB got all the money hazard, gotze, marin, reus, krasic, modric all will come no worry okey

Even the commentator said that Luiz would be suitable as a fullback since he likes to overlap on the wings.
I wonder why AVB keep on Malouda for nearly 80 minutes when he was poor all the way. Cannot pass, cross or even control the ball.
Sturridge need to learn when to pass to other team mates that are in a better scoring position. He keeps on going for personal glory. I think he really want that CF position.
I don't know if we can survive against MU this time.. I really hope so.

Next up is MU and Everton, prepare for the worst guys.

Thank god for Cole red card, hopefully that clueless AVB will give Bertrand a chance.

Luiz has played left back before. Shove bertrand, i dont care just dont put a makeshift playa in that position.

Generally the team played poor today, no spirit nothing. I only can see the trio of oreo, iva n luiz with good performance. Bos totally outshine cole. Essien and lukaku did a good job in their cameo. Studge reminds me of drogba when he first join, selfish like hell.

it might be blessing in disguise, Ashley has been nothing but average this season but AVB still stick with him all this while. hopefully, Betrand will be given his chance. inb4 AVB put malouda as leftback.

our midfield really terrible weh, totally outplayed week in week out. no Ramires make it even worse now. i wish Lamps & Essien will be back with a bomb against MU later.

When Lampard playing, all say he past his best, now only we start to miss him.

Lampard is the only one who would had made those lung bursting runs into box to tap in crosses.

Lukaku is a hardcore Chelsea fan, that's why he wants to help the team to win at all costs, whereas the others ( bar Luiz) looks like they just playing for their salary.

Btw, Romeu starting to play like Mikel already, take a lot of touches for no reason, something wrong with DM Coaching?

Average manager stick with average players, what can we say? i dont even bother to watch them play now... highlights is good enough.

The problem is not only midfield is the whole system, pushing forward, running at defenders, creative 1-2, and amazing shot on goal...

string of bad games or since last few seasons?

earlier part of the season = woaahh AVB so damn cun, next gen coach
come to christmas = he's poor.
let be honest, i think it had been for 3-4 years now chelsea starts to losing the grip after christmas. we're definitely better side on the earlier part of the season but not after that esp after vs arsenal.

managing a team is of course not abt picking up the players BUT I'M PRETTY SURE when players dont do the job, it's not manager's fault.

and swansea is really an organized team esp at home, with only united managed to beat them this season (home)
*
String of bad games not in term of result, is the way we play. Even we somehow manage to win SWANSEA with luck or individual brilliant but to me is still a poor game. This is the first time i saw CHELSEA play so many matches of poor and clueless football ever since i started watching from ZOLA times.

Everybody is blaming MALOUDA and BOSINGWA poor performance (not doing their job) on so many matches but who is the one putting them on the pitch ? So is not AVB fault and he no need to share the blame ? but the problem not only is this 2 player not playing well but the whole team. People defend TORRES cannot score and blame midfield because not enough supply but who is the one hired to change that ? is the manager, no ?

Too often when Torres make a run, Meireles will pass the ball out wide instead of try to pass forward. Quite frustrating to see this sometimes.

I still keep faith in AVB though, not like he had much option in midfield(Though he shouldn't had started Malouda IMO). Unless we want to risk FFP rules and get modric/Moutinho all these overpriced player. And don't get me started on our reserve players now, our reserve team not exactly thrashing teams in reserve league either.

Tactics wise, I feel our forwards is too wide apart. Playing this passing football if play too wide, the wingers can't attack crosses, leaving only Torres vs 2/3 defenders in the box. Barcelona/Arsenal both play very narrow formations.

We 1st half always play rubbish, the coaching staff need to make the players more motivated I guess.

Inconsistent display from player or wrong tactics from manager, it happen to all club, and its normal, just the matter of time when it will end.

I still believed AVB can turn Chelsea senior team to lower age average and it can compete against all rival in future, it may take time and its a test to fans and owner to stay, go or sack.

guys be patient.
I'm not having high expectation for Chelsea form.
it already been few years our forms is dropping.
Chelsea now is undergoing for long term solution. no more huge signing these is good and focus more on new talent.
Chelsea debt is no longer inflating also Manager look safe on its jobs despite drooping to 4th places.
also we no longer have the financial muscle advantage in the EPL.

I believe these would benefits us in the long run. rather than short term glory.

u do make some fair points. the coach and players share responsibility, but u really wonder sometimes with some of our personnel on the pitch. for example malouda's body language for the whole 80 mins just didn't look like someone looking to impress the manager, let alone the fans. as u mentioned its the coach who put his name down in the teamsheet in the first place, but a glance at our bench and we soon realise there isn't much to choose from. one of the biggest consequence of roman's trigger-happy approach when it comes to managers is nobody DARES to field the youngsters to make a point to the seniors, for fear of giving away cheap points. AVB has fallen into the same trap and there really is no quick-fix to this problem.

this is the bed chelsea have made, and now we have to lie in it.

i noticed this too.even studge makes incisive runs but our midfielders are terrified of giving away possession, so they take the safe option 99% of the time. frustrating is the most apt description for our style of play at the moment. yes torres is part of the problem, but i think even if the likes of aguero, cavani, higuain or what have u joined us right now, we'll make them look like gazillion dollar flops in no time. just slot in our meireles, malouda and oreo three in midfield, and watch as (insert fantasy striker name here) morphs into a creative midfielder in the space of a few months because he's sick of the lack of service.

now that we've decided a top four finish is actually more intriguing with a weakened squad (minus anelka), virtually nobody has been signed to aid our current team. hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooboy it's going to be a long season.

1. since Zola times? lol i tot after mourinho era everyone wants manager to be sack sack sack..lolz

2. of course coach have their own responsibility. but may i ask you again, did we have gotze on the bench? or hazard? or luis figo? or kevin? or kalou?
stop asking AVB to put in youngsters for fun. this is not football manager where if u drop points u can load the game back.

remember how Kalou was first eleven and being subbed of after 30 mins or so this season and was never part of the team since that (only sometimes on bench)? and again inb4 we shud buy gotze/ hazard/ all the talent around the world fuhh power siot.

AVB: chill laa next game at the bridge. play with so much passion for what? at the end of the day its just a game laa. u keep the scores low, i blanje u a box of portugese egg tarts. u give us a draw...and i'll give u the BEST reward u can ever dream of. seriously..THE BEST.
