Exactly.
String of bad games not in term of result, is the way we play. Even we somehow manage to win SWANSEA with luck or individual brilliant but to me is still a poor game. This is the first time i saw CHELSEA play so many matches of poor and clueless football ever since i started watching from ZOLA times.
Everybody is blaming MALOUDA and BOSINGWA poor performance (not doing their job) on so many matches but who is the one putting them on the pitch ? So is not AVB fault and he no need to share the blame ? but the problem not only is this 2 player not playing well but the whole team. People defend TORRES cannot score and blame midfield because not enough supply but who is the one hired to change that ? is the manager, no ?
Added on February 1, 2012, 11:25 amHaha agree, last time ppl defend AVB say player too old but seem like those excuse is no longer valid hehe.
u do make some fair points. the coach and players share responsibility, but u really wonder sometimes with some of our personnel on the pitch. for example malouda's body language for the whole 80 mins just didn't look like someone looking to impress the manager, let alone the fans. as u mentioned its the coach who put his name down in the teamsheet in the first place, but a glance at our bench and we soon realise there isn't much to choose from. one of the biggest consequence of roman's trigger-happy approach when it comes to managers is nobody DARES to field the youngsters to make a point to the seniors, for fear of giving away cheap points. AVB has fallen into the same trap and there really is no quick-fix to this problem.
this is the bed chelsea have made, and now we have to lie in it.

Too often when Torres make a run, Meireles will pass the ball out wide instead of try to pass forward. Quite frustrating to see this sometimes.
I still keep faith in AVB though, not like he had much option in midfield(Though he shouldn't had started Malouda IMO). Unless we want to risk FFP rules and get modric/Moutinho all these overpriced player. And don't get me started on our reserve players now, our reserve team not exactly thrashing teams in reserve league either.
Tactics wise, I feel our forwards is too wide apart. Playing this passing football if play too wide, the wingers can't attack crosses, leaving only Torres vs 2/3 defenders in the box. Barcelona/Arsenal both play very narrow formations.
We 1st half always play rubbish, the coaching staff need to make the players more motivated I guess.
i noticed this too.even studge makes incisive runs but our midfielders are terrified of giving away possession, so they take the safe option 99% of the time. frustrating is the most apt description for our style of play at the moment. yes torres is part of the problem, but i think even if the likes of aguero, cavani, higuain or what have u joined us right now, we'll make them look like gazillion dollar flops in no time. just slot in our meireles, malouda and oreo three in midfield, and watch as (insert fantasy striker name here) morphs into a creative midfielder in the space of a few months because he's sick of the lack of service.
now that we've decided a top four finish is actually more intriguing with a weakened squad (minus anelka), virtually nobody has been signed to aid our current team. hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooboy it's going to be a long season.
