Both original and fakes are from China, performance and warranty matters.

If the stock is from the authorised distributor, Koss' lifetime warranty on the drivers applies. nod.gif

So if my Koss is original but not from authorised distributor then can't claim warranty although stated lifetime warranty?

You will have to send it back to KOSS in the USA. Considering the courier charges both ways, it will be cheaper to get a new pair from authorised local resellers.

They are so cheap that most people would not bother with warranty anyway. I say just buy the cheapest you can find. I have one pair with no sound from one side.

use it first, then wait for the cable to get loose and loose sound from one or both ears, then you recable it.
