Hi all,
I want to ask a question..

i just bought a iphone 5 with ivalue 1 package & i'm a surf-star..

i already axceed my 2gb quota... currently i open my 3g..

internet using 3g will charge me a fee? my quota now is 5gb..
*
iValue 1 plan has 2Gb quota. Since you have used 5GB (am I understanding this problem correctly?), Maxis should throttle the speed rather than charge you.

Please check your bill or call Maxis if you feel uneasy about this. Best to go directly to the source.

i have the same problem after i changed my old ivalue1 plan to this iphone 5 ivalue 1 plan.
i received a sms alert from maxis saying i already exceeded data usage, so i called and the CS told me maxis will not charge me for extra data usage, but will throttle my network speed.
they also told me that my data usage limit is pro rated because it started the count near the end of the month, so i'm not getting full 2g of data usage limit.

LTE ready rclxm9.gif
We have launched 4G LTE in parts of the Klang Valley in the areas of Cyberjaya, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Damansara Utama, Desa Sri Hartamas, Bandar Puchong Jaya and Bandar Sunway. Other areas that have partial coverage are SS2, Taman Paramount, Section 17 and 19 in Petaling Jaya, Plaza Damansara, Bandar Kinrara and Taman Wawasan in Puchong. We will be activating many other areas soon.

If you would like to be among the first to experience Maxis 4G LTE, then please walk into any of the following Maxis Centres:

  KLCC
  Taman Tun Dr. Ismail

I'm not sure for Maxis but I have a friend working as network engineer in Celcom according to him you cannot expect the iphone 5 to run on LTE for now as they would need to voice out and submit documents to Apple to request for iphones which could run on Maxis's 2600mhz LTE. So for now, those who receive their iphone 5 are limited to only 3G as operators are not able to change their spectrum. Most likely this year when iphone 5S is released, we will get the unit which could support 2600mhz but it all goes down to how well our local telco deals with Apple.

No. You won't be charged. Any subscription of data plan of 1GB & above, can enjoy unlimited data even exceeding your subscribed data. Just that the speed will be throttled down to xx kbps.
If you didn't experience any slow connection, then good for you.

Don't get too excited as the iphone 5 sold in Malaysia will not support the LTE/4G spectrum (2600MHz) that all the local telcos has been awarded by MCMC. The iPhone 5 (model A1429) supports only 2100 MHz,1800MHz and 850MHz only. In Singapore, their networks run LTE on 1800MHz and also 2600MHz. That's why users can use LTE in Singapore with their iPhone 5.

Same as mine, actually they calculate like this: 1GB/30 days. 28/12 to 14/1 is around 15 days, thus the 500MB. I subscribed to ivalue1, same date as u, i got 1.++GB only.

prorated means, your current / first bill will not be fully one month (30 days).
you got activated today (3/1/2013), your bill cut-off date is 16th (23.59pm), so you have only 14 days to enjoy with your first bill.

since then, you'll only pay for the days you used, including what you get. 14days/30days x 2GB = 933.33MB (approx. the amount shown by Maxis)
same applies to your free call, sms, etc.

from the next bill onwards, 17/1/2013 - 17/2/2013, you'll enjoy full 2GB data

You still not yet get your phone ?

My friend who pre-reg at CapSquare, did not turn up after Maxis send the SMS of no stock for 32/64.
She complain via 123 and spoke to CS. I told her to escalate it up via the CS. Of course, not as demanding as me. Few days after that, she got a call to pickup at KL Sentral. She already got the phone for ~2 weeks already and using it happily. It's a 32GB black.

How come all hunting for 32GB ? I thought 64GB is the extinction species ?

Both 32 & 64 are rare currently. Seems like there are a lot of 16GB stocks.

Just to set the expectation right, as previously posted by other forumers.
1) Apple iPhone supports LTE.
2) However, the freq band approved by our MCMC, is at a different range. Hence it is not within iPhone5 and we have to stick back with HSDPA for fastest.

Actually, I bought a unit from KL Sentral last week. However, I am waiting for a second unit which was the one I complained about that I ordered ages ago.

I called 123, and screw them yesterday, I did not manage to esclate it high as the poor CS guy is new and know nuts, I told him that I want a definite answer, and he told me that Maxis will contact me back within next week on my order status. If I don't receive any call by the deadline given, I think I will personally go down to the Maxis centre and clarify this issue.

Thanks for the tip mate!

Just called 123 this evening and ask about the 400++ bucks unbilled usage amount, he told me my amount is only 7 bucks. He told me there's some system fraud. I log in and checked just now it was 7 bucks.

What actually is unbilled amount? Is it included in the RM 100 i sign up for or the addition to the RM 100?
