how much maxis will trade in my ip 4 ?

hey all, I will subscribe to the ivalue plan 12 months contract for iphone 4s... Anyone know about the installment plan? how much i will pay for each month, can I do a 24 months installment although I am 12 months contract plan?

It shall depends on your bank. Some offers up to 24 months.

I am currently on a supplementary line and I've registered under my name and phone number instead. If I upgrade to principal before the 16th, would I still be eligible for the purchase using the same booking number? thanks

Yes. Shouldn't be a problem. Few people I known did the same thing for iPhone 4 launch last year.

EPP is only valid for purchase of phone. Advance payment is to be made upfront/one-off/cash.

free calls to Maxis numbers only. yes both need to be primary line and family plan free calls are not applicable since both lines are under iValue/iData.

not only primary line, you have to be the owner of the line. means the line register under your name.

yes that is true. better make the switch now to avoid complication.

according to cs, you can switch to owner within 24 hours, but you need to pay again for the advance payment, changing owner name means resign the package..

I just did my conversion from supplementary to principal line yesterday.
All details are based on my experience and it seems that different maxis centers have different operational policies. (Another long story which involved running through 2 maxis centers, 3 times...)

The original principal owner has to clear the ENTIRE outstanding balance before the supplementary line can be taken out.

Then, there will also be a RM50 processing fee for the conversion charged to the original principal holder.

After that, depending on the plan chosen by the new principal owner, advance payment is required.

Just sharing so everyone can be prepared and don't get BILLSHOCK + FEESHOCK while doing the conversion.

Side note: I don't understand the processing fee, RM50 seems a bit much but I paid anyway. The lure of the iphone.......

Installment plan depend on your bank and the amount of purchase for single swipe after 24hours. Do call your bank after 24hours to do installment plan more then 12 months, but all telcos can do 12 months on da spot when purchased

I realized those things as well during ROI but conspicuously, it looks exactly like T&C for iPhone 4. I might be wrong but it could be a copy & paste rather an updated one.

I'm sad that there's no increase in the data limit. What exactly it means with NEW LOCAL data anyway? 1GB for local consumption for ivalue plan has been effective since iPhone 4. Anyone care to elaborate?

During iP4 launch last year, Maxis do accept trade-in. But like any other trade-in programme, you can't expect to get high price
