Found an alternate and cheaper way for cooling. What if I put a fan behind my laptop? LOL! since it should "suck" the hot air that come out from the bigass vent.. hmm..

THE FAN WILL PUSH ALL THE HOT AIR TO THE LAPTOP smile.gif

That's the possible hardwares in it. Not the exact G55VW. Bear in mind G55VW comes in variation codes.
G55VW might have glassless 3d panel but it is not announce yet till now.
*
THIS specs was taken from the official website of ROG bro, the rm 3999 has no 3d, but the rm 4999 has 3d,using the nvidia active shutter technology..already official released and stated..take a look at the rog website bro smile.gif no glassless 3d bro..and for the extra rm 1000 for 3d and bluray, not wirth it to my opinion.what do you think? biggrin.gif

Added on May 1, 2012, 9:14 pmG55VW-IX044V rm 4999
G55VW-S1095V rm3999

advantages of the rm 4999 over the rm 3999
=3D, BLU RAY, 4GB RAM (rm1000 extra)

advantages of the rm 3999 over the rm4999
=full hd 1920x1080, ram can be added easily to 8gb for rm 60 to 70..

so it is your call if your want to spend rm 1000 xtra

there is bluray external drive out there, ive even got external slim drive bluray nod.gif

n yea its expensive , thing is having 3D display doesnt meant the bluray it comes with can *play* 3D bluray movies. this is my main concern

external 3D drive bluray ? this one i never see before.

i think chances are the G55 with 3D dont have 3D Bluray player.. but im still holding my breath! laugh.gif

EDIT : ZOMG turn out that ANY bluray player espcially hooked up to a pc can use ( well mostly ) third party software to make it 3d bluray player! gonna try this now..! man i feel stupid  blush.gif
*
so u think the blu ray and 3d at rm 4999 is worth it bro? or just buythe external bluray and 3d display in the future? just wanna ask your opinion bro, thanks

First, that spec u listed is the possible hardwares that could fit in G55VW depending the code after the G55VW-xxxxxx.

Malaysia Spec would be most likely Core i7 3610QM instead of 3720QM.

Did u know why i mention glassless 3d is possible in G55VW? Go check G55VW driver page, u'll find Naked 3D Panel Driver lying under Others category.

FYI, I am G53SX owner.
*
ok bro, but check out the g55vw site and look at the 5 main features

Intel® 3rd generation Core™ i7 processors and the latest NVIDIA® enthusiast-level graphics
Intelligent cooling with dual rear venting system.
Superior ergonomic design for effortless gaming
Immersive 3D experiences with ACTIVE SHUTTER GLASSES
SonicMaster Lite powerful audio with built-in subwoofer

look in the 4th feature .so based on my opinion, impossible the g55vw has glassless 3d..or not for what they want to give free active shutter glasses?

thank you smile.gif

it totally depends on the buyer/owner. if u are into 3D stuff n bluray movie junkie ( like me tongue.gif ) then its worth it! n i remember searching high n low for internal bluray drive for my last laptop , turn out its around 190usd with postage from US sweat.gif

n do remember, this monster is ready around what.. 3-4kg with its charger? add another external stuff n ull see toner n muscular bicep in no time laugh.gif
*
Hahaha, maybe this laptop can help build biceps, no need dumbbell..i dont use 3d as can get headache, so im stcking with the rm3999 model

They have this added below the specification u copied bulat bulat.
If they released Naked 3D Panel variation without updating the spec, wouldn't it point to something else the driver page shows something that they had done during prototype stage. Besides Asus didn't manage to release G53SX Glassless 3D Version which they demonstrated during CES 2011.

I'm lazy to argue much for now knowing i will lose out very quickly.
