the vent output space become smaller, then the air flow........~~~will effect or not.......

for example, G53 fully blow out the hot air~~~but G55 sangkut  abit~~

well, i tink the next renewal of G series laptops will be sometime next year, not to mention the introduction of g75 in malaysia.
tis is bcos Intel has announced tat Haswell will be the successor of Ivy Bridge by 2013.so i guess they will have new chips for all kinds of laptops as well.

alenn, i wanted to get it from forumers here but all sold out, so i rushed to PJ Digital Mall and manage to find 2 there at a shop call D-Fusion (M) Sdn Bhd

but they hike up the price knowing this model is selling like hot cake! but i manage to nego them to the ori non discounted price of RM3999, I added another 4GB so total came to RM4080

I just took a look at the current Asus Magazine & it shows that the G55VW-S1095V comes with a laptop backpack that looks the same as the one for the 3D version which is the ROG laptop backpack & not the Asus Backpack.
Looks kind of fishy that the resellers here are bundling the G55VW-S1095V with a cheap version. Either the photo in the magazine is wrong. Or the resellers here swapping the ROG backpack for the cheapo one.

I wont say that. Given that Asus has a bad history with TYPOS in their brochure. It's more or less their own mistake for putting it there. There are resellers who actually came here asking what are the backpacks provided with the G55. I doubt that there will be a Sellers unite! in taking away all the backpacks from us

Added on May 25, 2012, 8:32 pmI just got back from BJC in Penang. Swisspac there says that they can get the Asus G55 but must preorder. Leadtime is 3 days. & the Onboard RAM is 4GB 1333MHz.
I still haven't received any feedback from Asus about the actual RAM though some ppl are saying that it is supposed to be 1600MHz.
Anyone here got any idea?

Also, anyone ran CPU-Z to check their RAM? There's another guy here that did & is saying that his RAM is 1600MHz but CPU-Z is showing it as 800MHz. See link.

hi guys i have a little bit of a problem with my g55.when i plug my headphone in the audio jack.there are still sound coming out from the speaker.anyone have the same issue?

after more then 2 hours making recover dvd n opting for data check to make sure burning sucesful

gimme a break. sigh. so the checking after burning utilities failed?

Me too. Just replug to solve it. Troublesome. Don't know the real solution though.

N56 is not built for gaming,it is built for multimedia..g series from rog is built for gaming

Edit; eventhough the n56 is not for gaming, it can support light gaming, but the g55 is much more powerful due to graphic card

i would like to stress that n56 is a multimedia laptop(written all over the internet and in asus product guide)..if want to play heavy high setting games while connected on a hdtv or whatsoever on a multimedia laptop like the n56, then is in own risk..alienware m14x has better cooling system than the n56.

EDIT: i understand that the n56 can support gaming due to the graphic card same like the m14x, but it is not BUILT for gaming, also the other laptops in the n series.

thing is, its take more then 2 hours n yes there is an option where u can tick to make the software check the dvd after its burned to make sure data written sucessfully, n ive did that! n there a last promt after the whole process saying " recovery dvd suceess"

.. and then it just failed when used? imagine something when wrong n u need to recover n get this?  ive read from the rog forum n the fella sugest to use win 7 iso instead.. that sooooo beside the point.

im making another set of recory dvd after i get some blanks, btw g55v owner, have u guys make ur own recovery dvd n test it?
