that's gonna be quite hard to find unless you want to consider alienware/sager 11" laptop. Not slim, but very portable.

wish asus malaysia could officiall release this laptop b4 i go to university..we dont know anything about this laptop,,hardware? status? quality?performance?faulty?..no even 1 single review about g55 in the internet..seems so risky

m11x is quite limited upgradability..ykgen. do u know the asus g55vw-s1035v has no sbuwoofer and 1 hd bay?
only the asus g55vw-ds71( sold in the usa) has subwoofer and 2hd bay

b4 this i swap 1 hdd to ssd on my G53sx-1208v , i like the speed!!! now using other laptop, really cannot tahan the low speed...

if they refund, i also will buy  hdd bay laptop....

guess is too much for a plastic cutout n couple screws on a g55?

but this laptop is only 1 month old..i dont think it is the battery problem..before this,it work just fine..usually,after i fully charged the battery,i will remove it for a week +,then i will use it again..does this seems to cause the problem?

and why it will not have mouse and backpack? the previous G53 comes with a mouse and backpack as well. And may i know what kinda backpack they come with? is it this?

Gtx 660m is actually a good improvement over the Gtx 560m. If you're asking how much, i'd say around 20-30%. I'm guessing, with the two GPU that are mentioned above, i'd say that you're comparing the G75 with 670m with the G75 that comes with 660m? Just guessing.

An overclocked 660m will owned a stock 670m. But of course, an overclocked 670 > overclocked 660. But it comes down that what you need. Whether is it raw power that you seek for, or sacrifice a lil power for power efficiency? Cause while the new kepler architecture (660m) does not outperform the 670m, it will come in handy for power saving and stuff.

what we miss-
no time doing benchmark , gaming, stress test, as its not my laptop , 

not something you would like to carry around to coffee shops on a daily basis. this thing is heavy for a 15' but that's expected for a gaming laptop

kb is really nice and solid stuff. still trying to get used to it. at first i thought i may need to buy a mechanical kb to do key bashing for games but i think this laptop's kb would suffice.

freaking 15' has full hd reso on it. my eyes seriously look like wanna pop out. but i never expected the display to look this nice especially for a laptop.

no further reviews yet. overall very happy with its looks and design.

as devour mentioned, the ram slot is easily accessible by user but only 2 slots accessible by user.
hdd is just next to the ram slots so that one is also accessible by user.

i buy a good 3d red and blue spectacles at rm 35
install iz3d driver.

now can play 3d games..easy, fast.

good 3d quality

- about the display  port, i didt have tension on it, since its not mine lappy 
- ya, i know total 4 ram slot, thats why i said only 2 user accessible, another slot ( below keyboard )- non user friendly - not easy to access    ,

- single drive things ? hehe,  if the laptop is mine, i will go thru all the test , but its not mine

hi guys.. i have a tiny problem..my G55 I CAN hear clicking sound occasionally inside tha laptop..when starting the laptop the same sound appears.and when using it, sometimes it appears..any solution to this? i already done hd disc checking and im not using battery on this laptop..please help..thanks

Yeah it's quite a lot of works to access mSATA slot and even the wireless card:

First, you need need to disconnect the hard drive and remove about 1,000 screws from the bottom, and then remove the hinge cover and the screen, disconnect all the cables and remove the top case just to access the wireless card:


And then remove all the screws on the mainboard and turn the mainboard over to access the mSATA slot.
