recently tested out digi's hsdpa internet speed can get ranging from 3.5mbps to 7.5mbps for rm48 package...this was tested on both of my friends who subscribe to the smartplan recently. however, i had been subscribe the package since last year but disappointed when my speed only averages from 300kbps- 1.5mbps. both phones, same model testing in same area shows different result comparing mine and friend's one. wonder is there any different for new customer whom sign up.

Same like mine discover day 5mbps few months ago, now max 2.5 mbps only. owh well...better than nothing 2.5mbps still good.. mine only around 500-700kbps on average, if can also max 1.5mbps. wonder is it sim card related? coz one of my friend showed me that his sim card is orange written digi internet. whereby mine is digi postpaid (yellow and white). called cs and ask they told me its impossible to reach that high because max can be 1mbps max...wth |

QUOTE(viqq @ Jan 24 2013, 12:35 PM) See I told you, the new customers get all the best things from DiGi. owh well.... according to them current users are also able to enjoy the 2gb deals for 48, 5gb for 68 and 8gb for 88.... speed is the same as new user.. and if that is same, what the heck my two other friends whom subscribe recently can achieve such high speed..(same place, same phone) BTW, the Nexus 4 page. It stated RM899** , which would mislead people thinking only paying RM899 for the phone. Instead, the RM899** is the price of the phone after savings? What the? Trying to copy what Celcom is doing? I rather you don't do it this way man. I guess the sales are slow for the Nexus 4, they come up with all sorts of gimmick and stuffs for it. I mean, who would want a LG anyways? RM1499? For a LG? Not today brother. You're not taking my money LG / DG. |

QUOTE(cOMMANDER pRASNTH @ Jan 28 2013, 11:07 PM) Btw, is it possible to achieve the formerly advertised "Turbo 3G ~ 14.4mbps" speeds and if yes, is there a map that denotes which areas support that? Used smartplan for nearly 2yrs..the speed only averages from 500 up till 1.3mbps for my case. I dun think it able to achieve so high. Advertising mah 14.4mbps..haha. however as I posted earlier some of the new users able to get 3 to 6mbps on average..oh well.I'm at Bandar Sunway & I'm getting about 1.5mbps with HSPA with my Nexus 4 with SmartPlan 68 |

QUOTE(cOMMANDER pRASNTH @ Feb 2 2013, 01:18 AM) Thanks a bunch bro - your answers made sense indeed. let me guess u r on digi prepaid right? speed for prepaid is terribly slow...and as for LTE, the two big giants has released their LTE and available for the public to test in their main centers.. normally users can continue the benefit of improvement done by digi, so there is not necessary to sign-up again...Yes, I've been using the internet unlimited plan for several years prior to this and if not mistaken, it was only about 385Kbps only. I've heard some "rumours" that apart from LTE, they will also be rolling their DC-HSDPA networks soon - so was wondering if I, currently tied with SP68 contract would benefit from this OR would I be required to sign-up for a separate plan (basically, is the speed actually tied to the plan or it's universal across DG). |

QUOTE(Chyan @ Jul 29 2013, 02:49 PM) Kuching Samarahan area H+ now occasionally. no choice but to switch to postpaid. haha. postpaid on average can get 1-2mbps. some can get 4mbps. but prepaid live with the slow speed. even the two other giant telco speed for prepaid is better 1mbps at least and no cappingBut mine's on prepaid internet. Capped at 380Kbps How I wish they would increase it. Even for postpaid they stated average 700Kbps speed only? |

QUOTE(dgboy @ Aug 8 2013, 09:59 PM) Top up a minimum of RM30 on your birthday, plus or minus 3 days. Seems like the deal frm digi nt as good as last time. I can still recall that last time digi treat the bday bonus as ur prepaid credit and no due date limitationsBonus is paid instantly and valid for 30 days, any balance after that period will be forfeited. You need to be a customer of DG for at least three months before you qualify for Birthday Bonus. More details here. |

tried digi internet prepaid...found that there is no more capping users at only 384kbps but instead manage to get up till 1.7mbps for dwnload and 1mbps for upload on speedtest. subscribe to RM18=300MB monthly.
