Okay, a long one here:

I'm nearing my postpaid+phone+smart plan contract in June next month. Which means, I have the freedom to:

a) terminate my line and try something new
b) continue with a new contract

Why I'm considering a)? Well its because I've been a long time user/supporter of Digi. But for sometime, I've noticed that postpaid users no longer have the cheaper rates that was once exclusive to postpaid users only. These days, all promotions, gimmicks and different sorts of packages are made to suit the younger/lower income users - the prepaid users. And ever since Digi ported their points to Bonus link, its all going downhill. In short, very dissapointing. So I might be considering to look for other telcos, but it seems just the same apple in the other networks.

As for b), its interesting to look at all these new phones coming in, but there's one thing I'm not sure of.

1) look at this a moment

I did not receive any e-mail, however I did receive a call from digi offering to slash $10 from my smartplan if I continue the existing plan. The offer sounds so lame, so I just said NO. However, if the $600 is available to me, I might be interested to take a phone bundle. Just curious to why I didn't receive any e-mail offers from Digi though. Does the $600 deducted right away from the phone price or its just a gimmick from Digi to keep me committed to another 2 boring years?

Currently, my call plans are 10 cents a minute, which is the only reason I'm keeping with Digi (for now). All the new rates are 15 cents a minute which is 50% increase, and that's a lot!

My current plan still using the old voice rate of 10 cent a minute. If when my contract expires next month and they raise it to 15 cent a minute, I'll definetly change.

I subscribed to their Digi SmartPlan that expired last week on 29th February. Today I checked my internet quota and it says I'm expiring on 12th March. Not even a month yet!

Called Digi hotline, which is harder to navigate now.... and they told me that Digi has 4 bill cycle and that mine falls on every 12th of every month. The operator assured me that I will only be billed for the length usage and not the full month. However, any remaining quota will be forfeited as my plan doesn't include carry forward data.

Can anyone confirm if the bill cycle date is true?
