I'm really confused of how Digi plan with new phone works.

Example:

1)for 24 months of DG Smart Plan 48

Samsung GALAXY S II (Noble Black) RM 1399.00
DG Smart Plan 48 (Advance Payment for Plan) RM 48.00
Device Advance Payment RM 250.00
Delivery Fees (Delivery Terms and Conditions) RM 0.00
Total Price RM 1697.00

2)for 12 months of DG Smart Plan 48

Samsung GALAXY S II (Noble Black) RM 1599.00
DG Smart Plan 48 (Advance Payment for Plan) RM 48.00
Device Advance Payment RM 50.00
Delivery Fees (Delivery Terms and Conditions) RM 0.00
Total Price RM 1697.00

I know they try to keep the total prices around the same. What's the purpose of the Device Advance Payment? They change some of the device price to device advance payment sounds the same to me, since you're still paying RM48 for every following month, right? the price of the phone in total is still the same for both tenure anyway.

Any Digi representative here or anyone with the knowledge below, please help icon_question.gif

I tried to buy Xperia S from Digi online, can I change my current Digi prepaid number to DG Smart Plan? Because apparently I cant find the option to change my current prepaid number into DG Smart Plan after choosing the phone plan. There's only 1. Change from current postpaid 2. Change to Digi with MNP 3. Get a new number

What should I do to change a prepaid number into a supplementary line of a Digi Smart Plan?

And is there any charges for DG Family supplementary line?

Would really appreciate if anyone can clarify.
I bought a xperia s from digi centre on may 1st, with EPP and auto billing signed. But I can't work out the details of my account info in OCS. It's kinda confusing.

Activation Date 01-MAY-2012
Rate Plan DG Smart
Contract Tenure 24 month(s)
Contract Renewal Date 01-MAY-2012

Credit Limit RM 300.00
Billed RM 5.82
Unbilled RM 4.89
Total Outstanding RM 10.71
Available Usage RM 289.29

What does billed, unbilled and total outstanding means?
Thank you in advance! nod.gif

Hi guys, just making an enquiry here.

I recently signed up with Digi's HTC One X's 3GB plan in April and took up the EPP offer, meaning I would be paying RM120+ over the period of 24 months to my bank which I swiped the card with. However, I notice that I'm getting double charged. Once when my card was charged for payment no. 1 (full amount - RM120+) and then another time when the Digi billing period was up (RM68+excess usage). AFAIK, the EPP offer consists of the phone price as well as the monthly fees. Anyone else encountered the same?

I bought Xperia S through EPP with RM122.XX per month as well. Will let you know once I get the bill for my credit card. Fow now I only get the bill from Digi itself and it's quite confusing.

I remember there was a DiGi representative that frequent this thread and clarify enquiries from us consumers. I guess we'll have to use D'chat for all our questions now.

Hi guys,

I wonder can I use my Maybank Visa Debit card to sign up for auto-billing? Anyone try that before? I am interested to sign up for the Discover Day plan.

My friend using Maybank Visa Debit for auto-billing of iDiGi plan.

Should be fine with Discover Day as well.

I posted this in April 2012, I re-post here again for your benefit (unless the calculation has changed):
The last time I asked OCS, it's like this. I use 1 example, HTC Legend, RRP RM1999, they sell for RM999 with 2 years contract. If terminate with 4 months left in the contract, the penalty is RM266.67. Put your own figures in bold to calculate your scenario. Or give us the details and we calculate for you.

DIGI SMART PLAN PENALTY CALCULATION
---------------------------------------------------------
RRP (Market Price) X RM 1,999.00
Special Price Y RM 999.00
P Savings (X - Y) Z RM 1,000.00
End Contract Date 5/9/2012
End Contract Date – Today (months) W 4
End contract date – start contract date (tenure) V 24
Administrative Fee S RM 100.00

Formula (W/V x Z)
Calculation 4/24 x 1000
Result RM 166.67
Administrative Fee + RM 100.00
Final Penalty Fee RM 266.67
*
Thanks man for the calculation. notworthy.gif biggrin.gif Maybe this formula can be posted in post #1 for easy future references.

I have about 16 months left and it turns out to be RM400 with my Xperia S. Shouldn't have took 24-months contract. Foresee never have to change phone but never foresee would spot nice number doh.gif

Heads up to all:

Please check your phone thoroughly when buying from DiGi Centre.
My friend bought a HTC One X with DG 48 plan and once he reach home, the phone couldn't be turn on anymore, no matter how he try. He called up DG Customer Service and he guy ask him to bring back to the centre (Sunway Pyramid) for 1-1 exchange. He went back on the second day but the personnel at Pyramid Digi centre claim that they are not liable and he should go to SIS (HTC distributor) for exchange / warranty etc. Now the phone is with SIS and SIS agree a thorough check and 1-1 exchange if the phone really has problem (probably some SIS company policy) sweat.gif

Will update again when my friend got an exchange (or not).

I just to know about this plan, I just need to pay minimum Rm28 if I did not make any call or SMS? And the free call between DiGi family is like FnF or supplementally line?
*
Yes if no call or sms then only minimum RM28.
I don't understand how FnF free calls work, but ya it works like supplementary line. 60 hours free calls between main line and sup line, 6000 free sms?(I forgot how many free sms since don't sms much laugh.gif) I think some time before I subscribe it was unlimited free calls between main and sup line, but after that they implement the 60 hours limit, still too much to finish though drool.gif

Yesterday Digi down from 11am to duno what time at Bukit Damansara / Damansara Heights area.

I see, so the free call only apply to main line to sub line lo? 600mb data should be enough to use for whatsapp, we chat and Facebook right?
*
No no, the free calls and sms-es goes both way. Main to sup or sup to main, share the 60 hours and 6000 sms.
And where DG Family Postpaid is only 300MB data, not 600MB, unless you're not talking about DG Family. And yes quite enough for whatsapp wechat and FB. Just don't stream video or google a lot of pictures. laugh.gif

Will update again when my friend got an exchange (or not).
Updates for this:
He went back to Pyramid Digi centre on 4th day of purchase and yes the manager at the centre again stressed that the agreement for Digi with their supplier (SIS, SME, etc) is that once the phone leaves Digi centre when you bought it, any warranty or phone problem (even within 7 days of purchase) goes back to the distributor.

I have no idea why HTC careline ask him to go back to Digi, both party pushing the responsibilities. We will never know the real agreement between Digi and SIS unless someone from Digi and SIS clarifies here. So his phone is basically stucked with SIS and going through CNY holiday with SIS doh.gif

Moral of the story: check your phone kau kau before leaving Digi centre. Yes phone hardly got problem, but just in case dam bad luck like my friend smile.gif
