My Tiler told me that tile adhesive usage is usually for glossy floor tiles as the chemicals that went in to process these floor tiles causes these tiles to not bond well with regular cement thus need to add susu (adhesive).

No. You can't use cement to repair the gap if you don't take out the old cement gap. Causethe cement to shallow and it won't stick.
Get a tube type call chaulk and repair the gap. It is for the tile fill up gap. Once dry, it waterproof and like silicon elastic. |

Hi,
just wondering... are we using "tile grout" to add it in between the gap of tiles ? what would be the purposes a ? to make the gap looks evenly same color ? tile adhesive is to be used to stick our tiles onto cement / floor right ? if no issue so far.. we do not need this ? I am having some hollow tiles (2*2 size) but still no issue so far.. should i change it or let it be there untouch ? from my undersyanding.. if i am about to take out that piece of tile and repaste it back ... air could go to nearby tiles again ? then seems like no purpose hmm... thanks for the advice.. |

Than fill it with the new 1. That way the cement won't easy come out. Here how the tube caulk look like. ![]() |

QUOTE(xSean @ Dec 2 2011, 09:18 PM) dont mix with sand.. just use cement only, u need to mix it until it becomes textured like colgate..but for better "sticking" to the gaps.. remove all the old grout/cement and put in the new one... ps : i did it and i use a plastic spoon, front part to scoop the cement, back part to push it in, applicable to small area or a section of the bathroom, larger job you need to use something like the rubber thingy that you swipe dry your windows one Added on December 2, 2011, 10:57 pm QUOTE(Skydrop @ Dec 1 2011, 10:20 PM) this one im not sure ..This post has been edited by JinXXX: Dec 2 2011, 10:59 PM |
