Told you ,it's lifeless there . Luckily we were not the 2nd or 3rd batch ,they are more extreme 3 months and no holidays . For us 1st batch at least still got CNY holiday and Feb leap year and March few days only .

But , the most lucky one still goes to those not chosen to undergo ''training'' in PLKN .

In my camp, Chinese or Malay will still kena one. doh.gif That camp very stupid. Why do they have to make it in jungle in the first place. Why don't just make it somewhere in the city, then if got outdoor activities send to jungle there.
Much much much more easier. Stupid people is stupid.

You guys aren't the only one hating NS. I hate it too. It was seriously difficult for me to make friends because almost all the chinese in my camp are mandarin speakers and i'm a banana. Everytime i talk to them in english they'll go, "i scared to talk in english cause veli the bad.". Dude, i'm not gonna look down on you because you suck in english, i just want to be friends.  doh.gif

The only good thing i got from NS so far was learning mandarin and cantonese from my friends.  thumbup.gif

As for my camp apparently the guys one of 'em kena possession before. Cause he at night too scared to go toilet and he went and pee on a tree. that night he kena.  shocking.gif
*
I'd hit on you if we were in the same camp. sweat.gif Quite challenging to communicate with the Chinese here, all Mandarin speakers. I speak Canto but not as well as the others. Having the same experience as you are, other people are shy to speak to me in English.

Yeah, I totally envy my friends out there. Isnt it simple if they just switch us (who don't even want to join this stupid thing) with those who volunteers and are eager to join PLKN. Wouldn't it be better like that? Plus, their program will also run smoothly because those who really want to join this program (but didn't get chosen) wouldnt complain and get 100% benefit from this camp. Because, for what I know, some people, when they really hate something too much (For example, school) they won't get any benefit from it. Like me, even though how hard they want me to enjoy the camp and get benefits from it, I'd say no, cus my mind set is totally 100% negative towards the camp.

Thus I might enjoy the camp if they give us enough time of sleep and let us have our handphones.

We're 18, we are no more schoolgirls or schoolboys. We are supposed to have the freedom instead of this stupid camp that treat us like prisoners. Yes, some of you might think that I'm just whining shit, but like I said we are not supposed to be treated like children again. It is unfair for us while our friends are having their typical 18 year old life out there and we're just being treated like prisoners in a camp that doesn't give any benefit at all. Oh, btw this camp is also a waste of one's money. We have to spend a lot of money to buy those phone cards where they could have just give us the handphone to contact our families.

I hate the rules we have to obey in the class too. Plain stupid.
Totally agree with this. 3 months to make a citizen into a solder? Impossible. I guess we are those unlucky citizens, have to attend this stupid camp then incase if Malaysia got war then we are the one who are being called to fight and die. Cool stuffs.
Most of the (insert race) guys talk big and ego!
*
If they only let volunteers in, and not randomly selecting everyone, honestly will you see <insert race> joining in PLKN? I bet you not. I've never seen any <insert race> wants to join anything like this VOLUNTARILY. Even in uni, hardly.

You're 18, but just few months ago finished spm. Still can't be considered 'adult' i guess.

Same problem here. I'm good in English but hardly communicate in Chinese. But have to in order to mix with them. My Chinese standard can survive la lol. Only that sometimes when i feel like explaining something in it , i'm afraid of stuttering and then ruin everything lol.

Tomorrow will be the day again... Have you guys finished those Persembahan events? We were to perform on the 19th but never did we know , we could come back. So i have no idea if it is postponed or canceled , hopefully.

Simple. The rule is just exchange the same person of the same race. If they are unable to find someone to replace them, then have to go la if like that. Like this still you can see 1 Malaysia in the camp.
Second, its hard to brainwash someone to be patriotic if they are forced joining programs like this. Thus, if the program is a bad experience for them won't let their sense of patriotism gets any better. I would think that it would make their hatred towards the government more.
Then leads to more racism.

Yeah, just few months finished SPM. What about those who kena penangguhan?
Oh and, isn't it unfair for us that some 18 year olds out there who just "months ago finished SPM" are currently living their lives happily as a typical 18 year old?
How are we supposed to tell our experience to them? They would just laugh at how unlucky we are getting selected, wasting our 3 months live there, without gaining any benefits from the program when they can have all the fun outside, getting huge incomes, having all the time they want with their girlfriends and boyfriends or families.

The 3 months we have could be the time we spent with our families. Because once it is after March, a lot of students will go further their studies.
We don't have the time with our family, or friends by then. Well I think the daily scholar students have all the time with their families before PLKN. But is it fair for those who studies in boarding schools? How about those who studies in boarding schools that are far away from their homes and rarely have the time to spend with their family?

Oh and about "gaining friends of different races". I can predict that most friendship will only arise DURING PLKN. Those friendship won't stay long. Theres no point of it. At the end of the day (insert race) will only mix with (insert race) and forgot about the (insert race) friend they made during PLKN. Oh wait, will (insert race) and (insert race) will ever be friends? I doubt it.

Based on my experience in PLKN, no I don't see (insert race) will mix around with (insert race), laughing happily, eating together, sleep late together, talk this talk that together, NO. I dont see it. Well yeah, I only see it in class, where we are forced to mix around though. But outside of it, NO. I can say the aim of making friends from different races kinda failed. And what I see is (insert race) will keep on stereotyping (insert race), and vice versa.

Well maybe some (insert race) did try to woo (insert race) girls, but hey, which girl would fall over faceproblem who only know talk big and rude. Perhaps their own race would be impressed by it, but for us, NO.

No, I am not that racist. I would perhaps be impressed to be friends with girls from (insert race) who are educated, friendly, willing to talk English to me. If they want to talk in BM with me, why not? It depends on their behavior. If they are rude, closed minded, faceproblem also still want to think their race is the very superior, who would want to approach people like that?
