They cannot cap it at 210NM lah. If it's true, the CVT gearbox will spoil quicker as it is more fragile. There is a basic standard that car manufacturers have to follow (not sure if Proton adhere to this, tho whistling.gif) where the parts used should be built to last at least xxxxx KMs before breaking down or needing replacement. An engine making 205NM paired to a CVT that can only withstand up to 210NM, u can be sure the CVT will kaput even before the customer gets his car (u know, SAs like to F&F with ur car when u're not looking... whistling.gif).

yalor, hope proton reali wont make tis kind mistake loh sweat.gif the saga cvt onli can withstand 133bhp..but the 1.6 oledi got 108bhp..if do the heavy modification, sure the gearbox cant stand it..actuali i wonder why a lot of car(bmw, merc, porsche and etc),why dun use the cvt gearbox..since it clamied can get smooth drive and wont get lose power since no need change gear..but recently proton car all start use cvt gearbox for their new model..

Why? U plan to change to Exora ah? whistling.gif

Because BMW/Merc retains the smoothness by the number of gears (7 as standard on their flagships now, going into 8), and their gearbox can take higher torque than CVT. Mana ada high performance car use CVT wan? Furthermore, with 7-speed as their standard they can play around and offer different engines with different output to be paired with the same gearbox.

As for Porsche, they already got PDK. Why bother bout CVT? sweat.gif

Furthermore, high performance cars usually comes with 6 or 7-speed manual (the new 911). U can imagine how a V12 paired to a CVT sound like mou? sweat.gif

Yeah. But manual gearbox, I think they wont offer it together with the turbo lah.
