Dear all,

Is there anyway to make forearm muscles bigger? I don't have much time to go to the gym , can I use any dumbell or any form of exercise to strengthen it?

It is naturally smaller , but I am kind of embarrassed about it...

thanks for advice..

Wrist curls, reverse wrist curls(google on how to do them) but mate, having no time to go gym is an excuse, if you want to go gym, you will try to make time. Not flaming, just saying.

I don't do direct forearm work at all, because they get worked when I train arms and back.

not neccessary to get dumbell or go gym... u can do push up/ pumping, grab on a pole, body lifting. or get something heavy and lift up and down with proper body posture :s

why do u need bigger arm? =.= eventhought u trained and gain bigger arm, once you stop, it will turn out become one lum of fat in the future...

You got the idea but wrong application.
We don't have a sticky that says "Guide to big forearms".

I wanted to laugh at his reply. but then i saw u already commented.
I totally agree with u dan.

cycheah, bigger arms make a whole lot of difference. try having a small arm and see how does that look/feel.

can do em weighted too.

weighted hand jobs not bad. do like 20 reps per hand per set. 5 sets per day. confirm nice forearms

tie a string to a weight and a bar, use your wrist to slowly curl the bar which makes it a bit of a pulley that slowly drag the weight up

a bit different as reverse curl you keep your wrist straight, this one you need to bend it

Reverse curl

Kpipe EZ-bar version

i dunno the science behind it though...lazy to read now

Thats right, normally its called reverse curl; and its easier to do in form using barbell. you can go upwards fast, but the important thing is while coming down, you do it slowly...cheers.

I do a lot of push up and swim (1-2x/ week) , i have strong and big arm, but the forearm is small.... it kind of looks a bit disporportionate. Yes, I would use the word "sticky". You know like a girl's forearm? somethign like that, i quite embarrassed about showing it so always wear long sleeve shirts.

Added on December 2, 2011, 8:50 amAny idea where I should go to buy the dumbells or equipment for reverse curl and how much would it cost? And the string, which brand to buy?

in Klang valley

sit down and wrist curl X100 reps for 2 sets

pinch the weight plates(duno the exact name)

towel pullups

or

u can just get fat gripz..imagine the load u are putting on ur forearms when deadlifting heavy

I used to play softball, and the throwing motion really works out your forearm.

My right forearm is bigger than my left because I use my right arm to throw, haha
