#The Italian based automaker Lamborghini has recently caught everyone’s attention after a model which looks like an SUV leaked in a publication.

The fact that Lamborghini was planning for quite some time to develop an SUV model, in order to compete with the upcoming Bentley SUV or the Maserati Kubang, isn’t that new, but in the mean time, the process went from being just an idea to what seems to be a fully functional vehicle. Thanks to the Italian publication quattroroute.it, we now have an idea of the upcoming Lamborghini SUV will look like.

As you can see from the image posted above, the Lamborghini SUV seems to be following the lines of the Aventador, and this probably isn’t such a bad idea, considering the fact that the Porsche Cayenne is following the lines of the 911 and it turned out to be successful, even if it isn’t that “pretty”. The Lamborghini SUV is expected to be powered by the same engine as the Gallardo, the V10 unit, which will develop a total output of 575 horsepower, but a hybrid drivetrain is rumored to enter production in 2015, with 700 HP.

The concept version of the Lamborghini SUV will be officially presented to the public, according to our source, at the Beijing Motor Show, in China, during the press days between 23 and 24th of April, 2012, after the Geneva Motor Show, which will open its gates in March.# (from INAUTONEWS)
