the 2 apps I dont think need root. just try download it n install. as my phone rooted since day one not too sure. these 2 apps not in my superuser list so probably no need root

root phone install kernel egg FM or abyss to have deep sleep enabled

Yes this is default feature. Only way is to flash one of those cook rom to have this disabled

I recieved and immediately hentam the seller - gave him a piece of my mind. The quality is exactly same as Melko standard quality - comparing it to my Blackberry and other Melko casings I have. Even Melko original cases ( my other phones ) you need to open flap to charge it - there is no hole for the USB
It looks like leather and feel like leather to me compared to my other Melko. Anyway do complain and he is getting a very poor feedback from me at his ebay. My unit is perfect , very well made and no gummy issues as faced by you. ASk for refund from him if unhappy

Rocket rom in just a day upgraded to V8 ; now downloading again to flash it. No big issue as is a no wipe rom

I only save it in Google - so convenient and it syncs with my Address Book on my Mac. Anytime I change phone, just sync with Google . Nowadays all modern smartophones can sync with Google. Saving contacts on simcard is so old tech - remind me of the 80-90's mobile phones

Added on December 14, 2011, 11:27 amRocketrom default kernel is FM 1.4 ; once you flash it your kernel will change to FM 1.4. I change the kernel to Abyss everytime - I find is a good combo

THose users who are using Abyss Kernel 2.0 and complain the phone is hotter than usual - the developer has released ver 2.1 to overcome this issue. Personally I do not faced such overheat issues with v2.0 possibly because I do not run graphics intensive apps eg games on it. Even on GPS with phone being charged it averages 45-48 degree C which I deem well acceptable

you need root and only certain kernels . it will not work on stock kernels

if still looping more than 15min, switch off take out battery. wait 10sec put back boot to recovery. clear cache partition n at advanced clear dalvik cache and select reboot
