QUOTE(lolful @ Mar 23 2013, 04:46 PM) Go get MSI / ASUS gaming series laptop instead... it's much more valuable... Buy Alienware if you're filled with cash only... disagree.Alienware built quality is better. True it is a BIT over priced. But you really get what you pay for n then Dells warranty nothing can beat tht! |

QUOTE(jbudz1984 @ Mar 26 2013, 07:19 PM) grrr can't decide if wait for the latest AW model this year or just let go of my M15x and buy Aurora R4 <<so confused Buy after August.. as Intel Haswell processors coming out soon. Buying rightnow might be a waste as ivy bridge prices will go down after haswell comes. |

QUOTE(joshuachew @ Mar 28 2013, 03:32 PM) Own a M17x R4. Just installed a 512GB SSD inside and the other bay is running a 1TB HDD. I don't game at all. WOAHH so rich dude! look at those expensive headphones.I upgraded to the most powerful processor, 16GB RAM, Nvidia 675, 512SSD and 1TB HDD, Killer Wireless, 1080p 3D display, didn't bother with the sound card as its always used with an external DAC which itself is half the cost of the laptop. Don't know much about computer hardware though. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

QUOTE(joshuachew @ Mar 28 2013, 08:30 PM) I used to be an engineer and now I am doing business. But I spend most of my money on audio. Even the Alienware was bought for audio purposes besides the reason I first had which was for engineering purposes. hook me up with your business bro hahahaha..Anyway, is the M17x keyboard a mechanical keyboard? What about the Alienware Tact keyboard? |

QUOTE(EmperorScorpion @ Apr 3 2013, 02:00 AM) Hi I just bought a 2nd hand Alienware m15x. My question is do I need to change any personal information eg e-mail etc? As this laptop information is the seller not mine. I scare when it comes to warranty or others staff I need to provide the seller information, and this make me troublesome. Always better to register it on your own name so that no hassle later on. |

You made the right choice. They are replacing my alienware with a new unit as 7 times service has been done and still the LED light problem thr. So I would be getting a new unit in 2 weeks time. Kudos to dell warranty. Not one of the best but the best laptop warranty one can experience in Malaysia. Period.

QUOTE(EmperorScorpion @ Apr 3 2013, 03:57 PM) How do I do that? Can I change the information from their Dell website? call dell helpline during working hours. mention ur case saying that you bought the laptop from the previous owner and that you want to change the owner details and address to your name. They will ask you to give the exact information of previous owner.Besides that where can I bath my Alienware? Too many dust on on my keyboard. Or how do you guys clean it? http://www.dell.com/support/retail/us/en/1.../IdentifySystem you can try here first, if not then better to call them as for cleaning i use cottons buds and cloth |

QUOTE(Riddhy @ Apr 15 2013, 05:58 PM) guys i have contacted one seller from ebay and i want to buy an alienware directly from him....do you how much will be the shipping cost from US using usps/ups/ or dhl for m17x/m18x? im afraid thr might be customs and u might have to pay a duty. secondly shipping costs a lot! you can estimate it from ebay itself only. N then warranty issues. I'd suggest you to get an alienware from Malaysia better! also can i buy from him directly? he was asking for customs form if i need clearance in malaysia? i can buy from him directly right? I pay him thru paypal and he sends me directly to my address? no customs hassle right? |
