i dont think that its 'only a few FPS' difference..
3DMark 11 for 7970M scores around P54xx while 680M only about P49xx which is huge difference
and 7970M can max out every game 
but anyway as u said, it doesnt effect the game play as long as u tone down the graphic setting 

that is a ES version and beta drivers. u serious believe it?

which is almost 1k mark different only have 2FPS differnet. u think the 300 mark would make different.

i had been using almost every graphci card since 9800M GS, i knew that how nvidia and AMD work out on the graphic card on mobile series.
same thing to GTX460M vs GTX260M in 3d mark 06 different almost 1k mark as well, in game(DX10) almost same performance. but of course DX11 is not supported by GTX260M

be reality, those review are just to trick people, with those DIGITS and NUMBERS

well, im not a fanboy of any brands..i just love the performance regardless of the brand 
but at the moment we could only see the actual 7970M card, the 680M is still not out there yet
owh, and the 7970M they are running doesnt have the official driver too, they mod the previous driver

its possible that 680M will perform better that 7970M, but knowing nvidia its almost guaranteed it will cost a lot more

Dell= Acer= Apple= Samsung= Asus= Toshiba= Sony= Sager=FOXCONN

If say cooling, Apple the worst.
If say solid build, Apple the best
