If XDA has not approved the forum section for SGW...eventually arco68 will still release the ROM besides he is not alone there are a few others joining him...

no, root doesn't make your phone fast

root is gaining super user rights. In simple, you can do things like edit System files, install custom rom, certain apps that requires root such as titanium backup, adfree and etc

thanks for the info..now i can see that rooting my SGW doesn't bring any good to me..

so there a piece of good news since got a resilient guy working out CM/ICS.

Gain Superuser to modify system files and install certain apps that will modify system files. System = android system.

with root you can delete those useless bloatware, prevent them auto restart when you task kill them. totally change icon, apps and system stuff.

but I don't root my SGW cause no need so many stuff. lol.

Problem is the 24months plan...

A lot of things can change within 24 months like.. better plans coming out.. better rates from other telcos.. so you have the flexibility to change as you see fit.

But should be alright lah for those who are very satisfied with u mobile and definitely want to use it for a long time... so 24 months wouldn't be a big deal and the plan is only RM28/month so it isn't very expensive
