Same as my previous unit...the culprit was the charging connector. It kinda bit loose, when budge a bit downright sound came out as usual. Fix it with replace the connector.

QUOTE(snnchw88 @ Nov 26 2013, 10:28 AM) Guys, please help. I got a Iphone 4S with the latest updated iOS 7.0.4. AFAIK, error 1 is related to baseband ic problem. That is why it affected your signal problem.Well, i had encountered with the problem of the phone was keep under searching mode("searching the carrier signal"). After trouble shooting, 1st i tot is SIM CARD problem, but i had changed my sim card to other Iphone, it works well without any problem. THEN, it must be my Iphone problem. Steps which i took:- 1.) FORMAT my iphone, but i can't turn off "FIND MY IPHONE", so fail to restore. 2.) Secondly, i go for recovery procedure, well, it restore halfway, come out with ERROR 1. 3.) I know there is a way to cancel recovery by going through few steps, but unfortunately it still the same. OH GOSH~~ Guys, i wonder this is SOFTWARE or HARDWARE problem? QUOTE(PopoPRP @ Nov 26 2013, 12:21 PM) Hey peeps, I've been using my 5S for barely 2 weeks and I noticed something wrong with my cellular data. Whenever I'm in an area with no signal(i.e. basement parking lot) the cellular data(gprs to lte) is not detected automatically once signal is restored. I'd have to reset the signal, usually by turning airplane mode on and off, then only the cellular data will be detected. Thing is, whenever I on and off airplane mode, the signal and cellular data has no problem being detected, pretty quick actually. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/432907...rt=540&tstart=0So I'm wondering if this is a hardware issue or just a bug. I'd really hate to have to send my phone in to Apple. Appreciate any help or advice. Thanks! More people have the same problem. |

QUOTE(cindytcn @ Nov 28 2013, 08:10 PM) Its depends on where you get it fixed. Usually cost at least 250 for wifi chip replacement. Beware of reheat wifi chip service, wifi grey out will occur again after several weeks. |

QUOTE(gamaliel @ Dec 23 2013, 12:18 PM) i just bought Iphone 5s last week. When I plugged in the earphone, only right side is working while the other one not functioning. I just realized this problem few hours ago(because this is d first time I tried to plug in the earphone after I bought it under Maxis). I've tested the earphone to other device, both right and left earphone are functioning very well. So that means my earphone is not the main problem but the Iphone is. Can I claim the warranty so that everything will be ok again? Yea please go and claim. |

And it might not be a battery problem. Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but what is the usual price to change battery for an iPhone 4? Battery juice dropping like mad, usage 3 hours standby 6 hours and I'm already 38% (no 3G just wifi). Thanks in advance |

QUOTE(haruyap @ Dec 28 2013, 12:51 PM) Thanks for the reply! What other reasons could cause this battery drainage? I've off everything that online site recommends (ping, background motion, auto refresh app etc). Battery drain could be motherboard shorting. Might due to overcharged or else car charger that affected drainage. I'm on iOS 7 now and I do find a big difference in battery recently compared to a year ago. And my phone often auto off when it reaches 5~11% and had to be plug on to reboot it again Based on bold red, it should be battery problem. |

But my warranty just ended 3 days ago... What is wrong and how much? Thanks prolly its the earpiece issue or else the front camera ribbon. As this ribbon its interconnected with earpice pluggin to the motherboard in order to establish connection. |

QUOTE(wajahebat @ Feb 14 2014, 03:20 PM) Here is the story, i had iPhone 4S ( 7.0.4_11B554A ) in hands now. The WiFi suddenly not working, ive do factory reset within the phone and it does not solve the problem. Best is to try with another computer/lappie. So i tried hard reset/restore using iTunes, connect my phone > click restore, and it does the downloads but after finished downloading, iTunes stated that the files downloaded is corrupted. So then i tried the manual way, I downloaded the .IPSW file from apple server ( iPhone4,1_7.0.4_11B554a_Restore.ipsw ), when finished, i tried it and i received Unknown Error (14), halfway restoration stops, cant turn on my device, it stucks at recovery mode, and also tried in DFU mode, same error. I tried again with some readings on the net, found a programs named Object Fix, where it can run a test on IPSW file, its turns out its a bad CRC mismatch, and its true as i also converted the IPSW files to zip and turns out the same, CRC mismatch, or, Corrupted files. After some more thorough reading, i found out that this is Apple's problem, some people managed to get clean ipsw files and some are not, need to continue try downloads the IPSW files until we get the uncorrupted one. Now my phone stuck at Recovery mode ( iTunes logo with Cable ) cant turn on at all. What i require a help for all of you is, Do anybody here managed to install iOS 7.0.4 on your 4S successfully using IPSW files? If yes can i have that file? Or any other suggestion Make sure your iTunes is the updated version. For the wifi problem, it's quite common for iPhone 4s. 5 out of 10 users faced this problem. It's due to wifi IC problem. To solve it will need to change this chip. |

QUOTE(wajahebat @ Feb 14 2014, 03:55 PM) Already tested with another lappie, and another Macbook Pro.. Why not you put into DFU mode and click restore straight from Apple. When you download from apple i'm sure its the correct one right? The same Unknown Error 14 came out...Below is some screenshot of the CRC bad, by objectfix.. [attachmentid=3852266] Its the Apple's fault and im certain there is someone here have downloaded the right one... Now my phone cant even turn on... |

QUOTE(wajahebat @ Feb 14 2014, 04:08 PM) Nope, tried it already.. Try with another comp. Direct download from iTunes instead of downloading outsource.I put it in DFU mode, then let iTunes download the firmware by itself, its the same. Once it finished download and wanna proceed flashing, it says the downloaded file is corrupted and request to re-download.. That is why i downloaded it myself and just manually ( hold shift button ) and restore, same error instead it shows Error 14... I dont bother that WiFi problem, now i just need to turn it back on again...Dayummn apple Ive tried revert to older iTunes, its the same... |

QUOTE(shankar_dass93 @ May 18 2014, 11:48 AM) Greetings guys, original screen bottom price also should be above RM2xx. Those price lower than RM200 is definitely cap ayam type. Note that it's also depending where you get it fixed.I dropped my iPhone a few days back and now theres a scratch on the screen. How much is the estimated cost to get a brand new screen ( the same original type)? |
