Suggest you to do a full chemical wash for the phone first. Somehow suspect some moisture got into contact with the board.
After board washing will then know the exact problem. If its still the same problem try replacing the battery. Hopefully it went well.

Can only claim warranty via Maxis. Not eligible for international warranty unless you got it from Apple reseller straight.

Please attach a picture of your iPhone. Hard to judge without it.

Afraid is not the digitiser problem, as you mentioned you tried changing a new one before.
As the iPhone is bent, motherboard most prolly get affected.

If I were you I will go for Apple exchange prog.
Why?
1) Motherboard chip is complex, even you managed to get the chip fixed; it will die off anytime. No Malaysia technician is not direct from Apple. most of the repairman can only try an error on the board. Basically is a gamble. Say they cant fix it. Then you missed the chance to exchange for a new set from Apple (topping 1.2k according to you).

2) Your iPhone is badly damaged, can see with naked eyes. Its worth while to get it replaced. You will get a new one, instead of a bent iPhone.

Just based on these points. What do you think now?


Most of the iPhone 5 has got warranty. If yours from oversea then prolly can fixed via 3rd party source. Approx between 100 - 300 depending where you get it fixed.

Basically now turns out to be wifi chip issue (board issue). If you try googling, alot more are facing the same problem. Just wait for next IOS update. Hopefully can solve your wifi problem.

Apple don't replace parts. What you do is to seek repairman out of Apple.

Have you try restoring your iPhone?
Try restoring aka reformat it first.

After that if you faced the same problem then try below advise.
- Download a drawing app from app store (any drawing app). After downloading, make sure every angle and spot on your screen is drawable. If slide to unlock is not drawble then you are facing the dead spot issue. Refer youtube below for "dead spot".



- Laggy problem should be solved by reformatting.

- Its time for a battery replacement, as you said has been a long time.

Since you never watch them doing then its hard to say.
Basically just a drop wont cause motherboard defect easily. Might just be antenna problem.
Suggest you to take back the iPhone and bring to other reliable repairman for checking.
Make sure your IMEI / serial is the same as before.

I personally think that 4-6% left auto shut down is not normal. All my iPhones can last till 1%. Can try claiming warranty if you still have on going warranty.

It's very common problem for 4s users. Just google 4s wifi toggle grey out you will find other users faced the same. Try reset network settings. Usually i fix it with replacing the wifi ic.

Hi, my guess is on battery defect, if you have warranty prolly you can claim one.

You can use adhesive touch to lock & shut off your iPhone. And Just plug into cable when you want to boot up your iPhone.

Can try changing antenna. Might solve your issue.

its a very common problem. Wifi chip is burned out. will need to replace the chip in order to use back.

Some say put in the fridge for few minutes and it work back. give it a try
