Excellent, do give us a review on the battery life once u have played it for a while.

Ps: are u a former uniten student? Your ID sounds eerily familiar haha
*
give me a day or two to test it out
but i may not give a fair judgement since i have already installed Android Revolution HD (custom ROM) to my GNex
so any battery related n performance review is based on this ROM

updraded to GNex since ARHD is supporting this device and really love his ROM since i use it on my Desire HD

Off Topic: yes.. im an ex UNITEN student graduated 3 years ago.. if u live on campus.. you would have known my intra server back then

android kernel do limit the charging current.
for example:
-my htc desire max charging current on AC is at 1A while 450mA on USB charge
-my gf galaxy s max charging current is set at 650mA and 400-450mA(cant remember) on USB

when i charge my Desire using 2A ipad charger.... the max charging current i can get on my is 850mA
*
how can i check how much current is charging my phone?
since i have a car charger that gives output 2A
my samsung charger give output of 1A
my htc charger give output of 1A
and my clerk's charger give output 0.7A

The widgets look really nice and clean. How do you find the performance of the phone so far? Has it ever hung up or rebooted without warning?
*
im using Android Revolution HD ROM 1.3.3 since this morning... havent hung up or random reboots.. all is smooth as silk except when market is installing any app.. give it a sec or two then it smooths back

i tried multi task around 5app and 3angry birds then i notice a small lag like when market is installing somthing

browser is lag to change orientation from potrait to landscape n vice versa only when the browser is loading a page

else has been perfect

now downloading Android Revolution HD 2.1.0 which based on the FW ICL53F (4.0.2 for GSM) along with a new radio XXKK6.. most probably will flash it tonight or tomorrow

i would prefer you guys to use Twicca
- in status update setting you can set long tweets to use twitlonger
- in status update setting you can set post in background (u can type ur update while offline then when online you refresh ur twicca n all be posted
- you can color your tweeps so you can distinguish who is who easily
- fast fast fast thumbup.gif
- been using twicca for a year now

Added on December 18, 2011, 12:10 pmby the way to add... those who use ARHD.. update yourself to 2.1.1 its super blazing fast.. the lag issue on 2.1.0 has been fixed

QUOTE(hussain @ Dec 18 2011, 03:45 PM)
How's the battery life on 2.1.1 mate?,..any issues you noticed? Stock for me has been awesome but the battery is not very good
*
i cant compare to stock since after 3hours of getting my phone i flashed to ARHD
on ARHD 2.1.1
- standby during sleep with WiFi n Data OFF = 9% after 6hours
- heavy surfing n FB using WiFi with auto brightness = 20% after 65minutes of continuous surfing
- charging from AC from 0% until 100% takes exactly 2hours

the most impressive thing is.. it takes 45 sec to fully boot up my GNex.. super fast whistling.gif

Note : if you have CWM recovery installed... when your batt is dead then you charge it.. a big batt white logo will show up and you cant turn on your device.. dont worry... ITS CHARGING but you just cannot turn on your device..

its a CWM bug.. dont switch your phone off during charging.. it will show the same thing n you have to do the same thing

- what you need to do is.. give it a good 3 minute.. your batt should be at 5% by then... unplug your charger... remove your batt then put it back then power it up.. your GNex would be ok

the flat graph is when i go sleep
Attached Image

WIFI ON/DATA ON/SYNC ON/GPS OFF/NO PUSH EMAILS - SET TO HOURLY UPDATE

Did anyone buy any extended batteries?
Is this worth getting?Anything more powerful than this?

http://www.ebay.com.my/itm/Samsung-Google-...2#ht_3920wt_905
*
for an extra capacity of 250mAh which is on my experience will give you an extra 43 minutes of net surfing using mobile data.. will you consider?

and there is a risk of NFC not working (if the batt not really original).. if im not mistaken the NFC chip is at the battery is it?

a better option is to have an extra travel charger or a power bank.. its more worth it.. if u batt dies you can charge on the go thumbup.gif
