yes im using ARHD v2.1.2 at the moment. the only mod i did is this one [MOD] Auto Brightness Patch & Advanced Power Menu - Download AB Patch ICL53F MID:

which in theory will consume more battery when i use the phone more.. i mod it because the stock auto brightness is too dark at outdoors to me (personal preferences)

no. i didnt UV. im using stock kernel as provided in the ARHD rom. and using XXKK6 radio as recommended in the ARHD thread

i have the clear screen protector for free
n a silicon case for RM30 (which he sells on lelong for RM59.. but on ebay.com.my only RM15)

they also give free WiFi so that i can set up my phone before i make my payment

then 2days ago i bought an in car charger from lelong (junelaw) RM46 including postage

my battery life for today. on ARHD 2.1.2 custom rom

- 1hour of accumulated fb/twitter
- 90minutes straight of Tunein radio app running on Locked Screen & WiFi 60% volume
- no playing games
- updating 3 apps on market

its a GSM version
LTE version only comes with the Verizon Tatoo as far as i can see but we are all also unsure on when the LTE is going to be officially launch in Malaysia and where

so far GSM is a good choice where it supports HSPA+ which Umobile & Maxis already have and running in a few areas in Malaysia already therefore while waiting for a full blast coverage of LTE most telco currently building towers with device that is HSPA+ and with LTE ready

that is my opinion

erm... our resolution is not supported.. but if anyone wanna buy X5 ask them to install for you and make sure it works..

im using GTab installer from http://www.papago.com.tw/andsea/
therefore no need to use spare parts to correct the unsupported resolution.. but the menu frame is still off

anyone using AOKP custom rom? the only thing troubles me is GPS very long time to fix
i use GPS Status & Toolbox app to test... it quickly detect 7-9 satellite but another 2minutes to get all a fix

with ARHD it's fix within 2-8 sec of satelite detection~

Is maxis data plan really worth? Speed wise yes but pay per use after quota reach.. are u willing to risk it?

z3al set was yakjuzs for Japan.. but after i update his bootloder and radio then put custom rom.. it is all just the same coz the hardware is the same

His set has a bit brighter screen when set to auto brightness than mine

Added on January 1, 2012, 5:24 pmARHD is based on stock rom for Gnex with a lil performance and batt life saving tweaks.. so 100% stock functianality is there and very minor bugs compare to custom rom that is based on 4.0.3 AOSP and have some visual tweaks

Its still small difference between ARHD vs stock overall so since im an update addict n being using his rom since i use Desire HD, so i say its worth it

BUT if u dont want the hassle of flashing back to stock for warranty.. n do backup n restore when some updates requires full wipe.. better u stick stock.. if google updates come.. u can apply OTA without loosing ur data

settled lepak with Boxer Freak... indeed his UK AP set is also brighter on auto brightness compare to my France AP set..

but when i use some 4.0.3 custom roms.. my auto brightness is ok.. so i can say.. those with auto brightness a bit dark.. its fixable in time..

i cant really say by batch... but based on feedbacks
1. some of us has vertical banding lines which some of us has exchage their phone to a new set due to that
2. some of us (including me) on auto brightness its too dark (ICS problem) but if u manually set at 50% or 100% and you put many GNex side by side.. hardly see the diff. i have seen mine (France set) compare to Boxer Freak (UK set) and Z3al (Japan set) all have different screen quality on auto brightness. Irenic has posted a few pictures as well.

just set it manually.. Google will fix it.. its a worldwide issue

3. some of us didnt receive ICS53F update (4.0.2).. this is due to Google holding back its update to fix some battery drain issue regarding Android OS process (all who are using ICS now having this issue
4. call drops & wifi drops can be resolve by updating your baseband to XXKK6 (4.0.2 default baseband). this will be automatically updated when u apply the ICS53F (4.0.2) update

simple... look at your GNex box.. under the top cover there will be a URL like me

even Nexus S when they upgrade to 4.0.3 their auto brightness also too dark it was really bright when they r on 2.3.7 previously so its definitely can be fix in the future.. not hardware issue

slow sound is issue to all GNex.. can be fix with Volume+ v1.8.0.5
i set mine to +8 for speaker & headset - all is loud enough for me

nope.. when i think about it.. i havent open any of my email attachement (office files) on my GNex yet..

uninstall the app = mp3 downloader pro
delete folder tapjoy on your sd card

i encounter this when i use my evo3D last time

No tapjoy folder means the ads app havent download any video or picture on your phone without u knowing it..

I find out since i remember since i updated the app.. the ads starts coming.. after uninstall the app.. no more ads
