QUOTE(waveweaver @ Dec 6 2011, 03:03 PM) ok, Great. handled by Samsung is the best.If only exclusive launch under telco but not from any SEP commercially. then will consider purchase full RRP if pricing not more than 2.5/2.6. still no confirm news yet which telco will participate.....hopefully they don't focus only 4S. If after mid of January, all telco still silent, last plan is to get the unit fly from oversea then... cheaper than AP. |

although I'm not working as marketing but something to share. when MNC company introduce new product, is not meant every country will selling world wide. each of country have own local marketing team, and they're the 1 decide whether to launch or not offer. before they commit, they gonna think carefully is the product will selling like hot-cake locally? else their boss screw them on wasting money launch the product. you know, launch any product need to invest money. Back to topic, why it's difficult to launch own official accessories? as TS said, Nexus not gonna break sales records like S2. when the phone selling volume is not that high, no need to think about it's accessories which is confirm lower. You still want to compare with fruit? LOL fruit still world top Number 1 hardware vendor in term on volume shipment, both official and 3rd party accessories profit or revenue like water flood their shop. |

QUOTE(riku2replica @ Dec 7 2011, 08:29 AM) Well, u guys are waiting for GN to release while I'm still waiting for SME to bring in GS2 LTE which comes with NFC Battery and NFC enabled phone. are you sure there is compatible telco support LTE in Malaysia on smartphone? maybe not for now, future? QUOTE(Harddisk @ Dec 7 2011, 08:32 AM) lol, you can't expect SME to fulfil your 1 person's need, or the minority, and face losses for the rest of the unsold stock, right? +1Although we all also hope that we can see the accessories locally too, but Business is Business, personal preference or small group interest hardly change their mind. Let's hope GNex will have good sales result when available in Malaysia, so that many accessories can offer in market. |

QUOTE(riku2replica @ Dec 7 2011, 11:10 AM) GS2 LTE support both GSM/LTE services. And if u did some googling, DiGi and Maxis has been mentioned that they are testing LTE on some report. that's great for DiGi testing on LTE, hopefully there is great plan in future.but GNex LTE i515 don't have GSM support or hybrid, not interested on S2. |

QUOTE(welwitchia @ Dec 7 2011, 12:14 PM) Was all set to grab one from the shop in Subang (you all know who) when when I call them up to ask if they have any stock, just the tone from who ever picked up the call is enough to turn me off. Needless to say, I'll think I'll get it when Maxis releases the official unit here. heard some rumor said that samsung already terminated contract with m telco, so maybe no GNex from them. Anyway, I don't care m telco but the yellow color in our forum background I don't mind spending the money but I hate to be treated rudely. |

QUOTE(sukhoi37 @ Dec 7 2011, 08:55 PM) Don't pick the rare example. then we take kindle fire as example. although is not highest end hardware but at least not champalang cheapo hardware but they're selling cheap. the phone is not even released worldwide and i couldn't find any review on it yet. Take a look of the china made android tablets, cheap? not really. Making money from hardware: Asustek, Acer, Lenovo, Dell Making money from content: Amazon Making money from both content and hardware: Apple Xiaomi M1, no idea..... |

QUOTE(DJFoo000 @ Dec 11 2011, 09:03 PM) seem like most high probability set are from samsung Conclusion is.... Only 2 builds are from Google. It's "yakju" (GSM) and "mysid" (LTE). the rest like yakjuxw, yakjusc, etc.... are from samsung.... all early GNex owner here, can check and feedback? @TS, can you consolidate it and update in 1st page? maybe just beside their username in Owner list. |

QUOTE(phantomash @ Dec 12 2011, 09:53 AM) how is the revolution HD? Is it stable enough for day to day use? From the feedback it seems pretty good. Why Nexus? Ultimate goal is pure google exprience + direct latest update from Google. (bypass the hardware vendor)lol, is it really needed? Maybe just a FAQ section would suffice? I found this is very important to know all users here to share what's their set is and come from, good reference for all future buyer. maybe you can also pin this as F.A.Q: Model: GT-I9250 Device: maguro Board: tuna Configurations: In build.prop, if you got 1. yakju then your unit is HSPA+, UK, Google-branded, I9250XXKK1 radio, supported by AOSP OR 2. yakjuxw then your unit is HSPA+, unknown region, Samsung-branded, I9250XXKK1 radio, not supported by AOSP do the best you can, thanks |

QUOTE(EpsilonStar @ Dec 12 2011, 01:56 PM) we need root explorer to find the build.prop? I'm not sure is there any other way to check the unit is Samsung branded or Google branded; or other fastest way. Then we wouldn't know until we have bought the phone home to check rite? if this is only way, then you're right. you won't know until you back to home and root. that's why I asking for on top; the best is, info contribute from current early owner. share with us their set and where they buy from. at least we can roughly know which dealer/reseller unit offer is Samsung or Google set. |
