haha, my Battlemage Dunmer before gone up to the Greybeards when still level 5 but still managed to kill the Frost Troll and then get to High Hrothgar

The Frost Troll was pretty easy to kill even though I was level 5 hmm.gif Used a combo of melee and destruction.

That whole questline is buggy as hell. I did that prison quest 5 times just because there's so many bugs connected to it.
List of bugs in that questline:

1. Like sharky said, guards weren't there to complete quest.

4. If you help the Jarl do 2 quests to get the Thane title, if you hand in the quest in the wrong order, the quest to become thane no longer appears.

5. If you get the chance to become thane and buy a house, if you don't buy it at that exact moment, when you come back the option is no longer there.

DAMN YOU MARKARTH!!!!

What happened to mine was that I entered, there was only 2 guards and no quest line appeared. Only after reloading from an earlier save did I manage to complete it.
