If 36MP is true... and price tag of about 12k... I'm going for D4 for next upgrade! LOL.

36MP... and D800 isn't the flagship... buffer for memory and all won't be great :S and fast burst is always welcomed for motorsport panning biggrin.gif.

buffer will probably fill up fast IF you shoot at 36MP..which we probably won't.

I think the buffer can last for like 30 or so shots at 10MP JPEG
*
If I own a 36MP camera, I will shoot at 36MP. No point buying a Ferrari and driving like a Kancil tongue.gif

ya...
he went there with you...
I see d room photo taken by him oso looked not so good to me...

would like to know how much is D4 when it's out...
hopefully it's not so expansive...
*
You can expect it to be at least D3s pricing.

36mp for D800 is just overkill imo.

I dont need that much pixel and besides it's only 4fps in FX.

If the price between D800 vs D4 isn't much different, i think i'll go for D4 for smaller mp, faster burst & buffer. Moreover, same sensor size between 16mp and 36mp, it doesnt look like D800 will perform as well as D4 in low light shooting.  That 36mp is more suitable for studio job
*
Yeah, totally agree. Price is rumoured at 12k.. and if D4 is at 15k~16k, definitely going for D4!

Face Recog for both cams, i guess D4 will have dual Expeed3 while D800 single Expeed 3
*
I think both will have the same processor, but different buffer size. The D800's probably limited and only hold a few shots before it runs out. Where else expect the D4 to be similar to D3s.. 50 RAWs or more.

hi ojtee,

i already test with liveview and thru viewfinder..
change the iso from 100 - hi and change NR settings..
i also did update the firmware myself but didn't solve it.

maybe i should just send to hq and ask for replacement.
is it easy to get a replacement??..has anyone tried before??..
*
You have to claim warranty, your D7000 so new and having such issue. Most likely faulty sensor from the looks of it.

QUOTE(0168257061 @ Dec 18 2011, 07:18 AM)
what was the original price for d700 back then ?
i guess they will just use the price ?
*
Almost 9k if not mistaken, but it comes with a 50mm f/1.4D.

guys... am looking for an all rounder lens... 18-200mm or 18-250~270mm...
which would you recommend?

i had 2 frens that are using 18-200mm from nikkor but they both had problems with it so, if for 18-200mm, i'll give nikkor a skip...

i'm on D60 and will need motorized lens and preferred wif VR... i'm actually looking at sigma or tamron. which wud be a better stand?

thank you...

What 'problem' in the Nikkor but not on Tamron/Sigma etc?

problem on tamron/sigma i'm not sure but both of my frens told me that their zooms will loose down by itself it he the lengs is pointed downwards. besides that, they also said focusing got problem... I dono as me myself never use the lens before. Cannot be so coincidence both having the same problem rite...

That's why opting for third party lens lor... moreover also it's a cheaper option... just that would like to know the experience on tamron/sigma lens on nikon body...

wink.gif

That is normal for lenses such as 18-200 due to the weight. That's why those lens usually comes with a lock to avoid lens extending when being stored.

Any multi purpose lens, 18-200 type will have this issue.

Using a D7000 with Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 non-VC.

Is it redundant to get the Nikon 50mm f/1.8D lens ?

In what situation would the 50mm f/1.8 be better than the 17-50mm @ 50mm f/2.8 ??
*
When you need more BOOOOKEEEHHHHHH, or wanna use a smaller and lighter lens.

Yeah, the Digital King filter costs about RM250..
Others are almost the same with the price you quoted..
Free gift is one 8GB card, tripod, bag and a cleaning kit
*
Wow, RM250 filter. I googled and found it here,

http://www.lenstip.com/120.6-article-UV_fi...Slim_72_mm.html

This is one heck of crappy filter and should never be put on your lens ._.

But then again, yours might be a higher end model perhaps. And well, most shops are known to chop in the filter area. Previously my friend wanted to buy D7000+kit at RM3850, and they said you need to pay for a Hoya HMC 67mm at RM220! If not cannot buy lol.

Maybe..
Cause I can see through the filter like there are no glass at all..

sweat.gif that is considered a good filter. Try shooting into direct light source, see the amount of flare you get between with and without. Good filters will introduce minimal to none, where else a lousy filter will give a lot of flare.

So fast... and it's still less than a year old sweat.gif

How many SC you guys spent for a wedding occasion for morning actual day + wedding dinner?

My D90 went to 40k in 1 year.. thanks to motorsport -.- and probably because i take multiple shots per frame (no confidence...) on D700, rarely click unless I think its good LOL.

Hi guys,
need a lil help here,
i just wanna ask, why does my pictures towards the right edge tends to be blurry?
i notice it occuring several times over several photos i took in the past 3 months...
is it because of my lens (its bout 2 years old, and it has taken several bumps before accidentally)
or is it because of my settings/object movement?  icon_question.gif

i'm currently using a d7000 with 18-200mm lens...

here's a few photo samples:

thanks for ur replies  sweat.gif

Does look like a case of decentering... one of your elements inside is offset thus causing a different plane of focus from your sensor.

by Accident! Lol...

Its about RM3.3k 999USD.. A nikon refurbished lens with 90days warranty.

It happened like this..

I bought it on Friday. My transaction got rejected. Suspicious purchase according to the bank..

I receive an email from adorama that it got rejected. The CS was really friendly and helped me through the process and told me i could cancel if i would want to. So I called up the bank and asked what happened and they ask me to remake the transaction. the 2nd time didnt work so I tried the 3rd time and after that All 3 transactions went through!

Adorama Didnt cancel the 1st and 2nd order as i Emailed to them because it was during the weekend..

There you have it I have 3 16-35 F4 lenses now.. I guess ill be returning to them with just shipping charges which is very minimal since the response isnt so good as you mentioned.

Btw celiuz what filter do you use? Is the hoya hd slim enough for it on your d700??

Thanks!

CY using B+W XS-Pro on his 16-35 if I remember correctly.

You bought 3... gengness. Previously accidentally bought 2 same books and now 3 same lenses. What's next? 4 units of D4? laugh.gif
*
I'm using Hoya HD on my 16-35. The XS-Pro is on my 85mm... cause whenever I change 16-35 to CPL, the XS-Pro is just too slim and doesn't stay put inside the Hoya HD CPL case :S

Been hearing a lot about D800, but when I heard D4 announcement next month I'm getting really excited rclxm9.gif the new Dark Lord to be announced... not surprised if D4 is announced before D800... but if D800 before D4 then definitely surprised.
