QUOTE(chyu89 @ Jan 2 2012, 10:00 AM) Get new bike better. and you need extra 300-400 for bag and helmet as well. Bag, helmet, pump, tools, gloves, degreaser, chain lube, grease, upgrade fork, upgrade brakes, upgrade groupset, upgrade wheelset, upgrade upgrade upgrade...checkout those recommended brands . I think HengMas better check you bank account again |

Its dropping way to much at the moment (yeah yeah I know im not the most petite fella around I found this out online: http://www.watermanatwork.com/Land/Cycling...djSeatpost.html So I ll probably give it a shot...got mine at Sen Aik..do you guys think its better to send it back to them? QUOTE(kimyee73 @ Jan 3 2012, 03:25 PM) Hello, newbie on bike here. Plan to buy a bike around rm1k. Was looking at Exitway but saw a brand called RMB. It match Exitway in term of price and parts like Shimano Acera for RD etc except it has better fork, SRS XCM vs XCT. Only thing is I never heard of RMB and google turned out evanda-rmb.com that do not have much info. Help, any idea comparing it to Exitway? RMB is OEM from taiwan i think. Better stick with exitway. |

Good for you. A decent bike for 1.5k.
The parts are okay but i think you should upgrade your fork to at least an epicon in the future for a better ride |

QUOTE(Mike3300 @ Jan 4 2012, 04:42 PM) Why is that for some people, they buy nice all-mountain hardtail with decent components but with road bike tires and ride on the road like a road bike? Anyone? Not everyone want to have a position on a road bike/racer. It is not relaxing. MTB/hybrid have a more upright position that allows a more leisure ride on the road.QUOTE(Cyphereza @ Jan 4 2012, 05:03 PM) I think you're referring to Singaporeans? If you found those in Malaysia, it is because they're Singaporeans. I ride a AM bike on the road with 2.5 tyres and no im not singaporean. So your arguement is invalid |

QUOTE(majorsinbad @ Jan 4 2012, 06:04 PM) Do bicycles in MY have demo days? ie like golf equipment whenever they launch new stuffs From a consumer pov I just dont get it...by right the more expansive the stuff...the more you ll need to test it first..ie: Cars, Golf clubs, etc....cause you ll be making a significant amount of investment on it...and testing on the road is not good enough right? But such is our plight here...because we tend to just splurge on what we impulsively want...shops are able to sell it without allowing actual demo...on the flipside...its not helped by consumer who will abuse it if the facility is there....heheh Then there is also the mentality of malaysian Nowaways bike shops dont even let you test on the road. Too many con/stolen cases. |
