rode kiara with an early group.one rode a scott 29er(carbon frame weighing in at 950gms i think).later joined by 3 other 9er bikes.tested the JET 9 RDO. can feel the foward rolling momentum and this was just on the tarmac. should feel more responsive for the hardtails...

hope you enjoyed your frim ride. as usual, domestic issues get in the way and also sleep too, lol. once i get the ironing done, i will decide frim or a scouting route for bike  route to kiara via mt kiara? anyone can tell me how to go from segambut dalam  or via the hartamas school to get to kiara? so no need to bring car?
*
Through plan c enter from the back of the Hartamas school ( the one beside the kerinchi link highway) . If you are adventurous enough, through reverse boner . Enter from kiara mas condo

Guys, I'm tired of pinch flats with Maxxis. Any other brands or tubes that is resistant and much more durable to recommend?
*
what's the pressure in the tyres? the only reason you pinch flat is that you are running a very low pressure and your rim profile off that when you run too low it will pinch it......so pump more air and/or change rims.... if you are taking drops or jumping here and there with low pressure then not suprised you pinch flat so often.

QUOTE(dickybird @ Dec 18 2011, 12:52 PM)
? you mean sprint hi way? ppl tell can enter beside the school and curi masuk the horsey club and use their gate but i paiseh bah.
*
yeah..from kerinchi onto sprint heading to hartamas. take plan C, IUD,wasteland, barakuda and you're already in kiara park...i posted kiara map several pages back...do take a look.

QUOTE(majorsinbad @ Dec 18 2011, 01:02 PM)
Yup..we went there yesterday...nice trail..but its a bit narrow for 'wide' people like me  biggrin.gif

Yesterday's ride was epic man...was so tired I canceled my morning ride today...hopefully can get a chance to ride in the evening ...
*
just need to get used to it.as long as your handlebars are not too wide , you should be able to ride through it smoothly...you need to ride more over at those sections....the best singletracks...

Hi sifu-sifu and pro,

I noe its so wrong just jump here and start asking question without any knowledge on bike and has not done any research.

Just want to know what brand or model shud i go for as a beginner?

Is XDS Mountain Bike, model Xero Three One good bike?

What is the pricing range on that model?

Thanks!!
*
every beginners dilemma.... smile.gif . www.bicyclebuysell.com is a good place to start with prices. you need to set a budget and work on the models. not the other way round. coz to some beginner bikes starts at 5K tongue.gif

should be ok GUA ! haha

cause old stem is -7 deg 90mm with 20mm riser 640mm handlebar

now gona change to 0 deg 70mm with 600mm flat

i scare will too low for stem cause no more riser and bar will too short or not
*
Go with 640 and +7 deg . Don't waste money on a stem yet. Btw, what sort of riding do u do more?

Not sure if this has been posted before, but FRIM now charges RM10 per entry, from RM3 last year. That's a whopping more than 300% increase. Greedy buggers.
*
was dead suprised when you posted. checked and it is really RM10. RM 15 if you drive in. seems that they are to discourage people to bike in FRIM.

Ard rm4500 to be more accurate. Is this price still worth?
*
You don't like Scott spark or giant trance/anthem? The hard tails for Scott and giant should be very decent at ur target price.

Anyway. Newbies get butthurt replies here all the time. Those that can take butthurt are the ones that usually is still actively posting here. They like to butthurt and be butthurted. 😳
