Hello guys.
I am a newbie here thinking of starting mountain biking as my new hobby.
I have been to few bike shops and all talking about sizes and names I have not heard before.

Any recommendation what bike I can get?

I was like u.

I got my Merida Matts-40D. The first poison LYN MTB advised me was to change the fork. I belip.
Fork is the first "feel" you get between the bike to the trail.
Lousy fork = lousy ride

So... my first upgrade plan was to go to Epicon. RM660. Then, there is adjustable Epicon at RM800.00
But if can change RM800, might as well try Tora, better brand.
But if wan change Tora, add another few hundred, can get REBA. Add few more hundred, can get SID.
Sheet!.
Since only few hundred here and there... might as well get a 2nd hand Fox. After all, it is a Fox.

But Fox 2nd hand, only few hundred difff from new ones. So, might as well get a new Fox.


Hmmm.... new Fox + previous purchased bike = RM5k.
Hmmm... If I sell off my old bike, get a new bike with Fox... probably I only add few more hundred.

So, I ended up with my first full sus bike. Giant Trance X0.

And never look back since. For info... I only did 3 rides on my Merida Matts 40D.
