Wisepilot screenshot lower. On Federal Highway approaching Mid Valley from PJ turning to OKR. i like the 1) indication how far to turn 2) the lanes on lower right indicating which lane to take. Locks fast, search fast, reroute fast, no hang. That is if on 9900.
Added on July 5, 2012, 5:41 amAnother screenshot upper passing Bangsar exit, approaching Mid Valley. Lower right indicates lanes that can be used, extreme left turns to Bangsar, i'm heading to OKR. This post has been edited by 1kokies: Jul 5 2012, 05:46 AM Attached thumbnail(s) |

i recently got a 9860. The GPS for Wisepilot locks with the same speed as 9900. But the screen estate is helluva welcoming. Works well for this 2 devices. I have also tested on 9780, disaster compared to them. So i think OS7 and 1.2 Ghz does help a lot. Or it has something to do with the download transfer rate. FYI guys.

QUOTE(nouruddines @ Jul 4 2012, 02:17 AM) which gps is the most/almost accurate one?the current gps im using always make me sesat or can even locate the location  I didn't know how lousy is BB's own GPS until one day I tried one. Compare to Nokia's, it's between a Kindergarten kid vs a university graduate. Not only is Malaysia map lousy, the coordinates somehow are way off as well. May be I didn't know how to use it but I think if GPS is important to you, get rid of the BBs. |

I use Wisepilot on 3 of my BB-9900, 9810, 9860. Smooth as silk. I have posted some screenshots. All in one device is important to me including GPS. Wisepilot uses the BB GPS i believe.

Give Wisepilot a try but have to pay. Maps once bought is for lifetime and is downloaded to device. Navigation can opt to have lifetime or monthly. One of my device has the lifetime license.

Hi guy,
Plan to get a BB phone but not sure the BB maps is good enough. Already familiar with google maps (used it without any complain), but saw this news: "SAN FRANCISCO, June 1 — Bad news for Windows Phone 8 and BlackBerry device owners: Google still isn’t prepared to support either platform with dedicated apps." This mean u need to browse the google maps using htmls??? Or is there any third party apps for google maps?? Or the BB Maps is good enough compare to google maps??. Mind to share some insight of this matters. Thanks. |
