The calibre is well polished but not "colorful". There is no blue screws and golden paint. Much like 7s26 from far.

QUOTE(shinjun @ Jun 18 2012, 03:50 PM) You can change the leather strap. If you are thinking about bracelet, then might as well get 1 a model with bracelet instead. it is rather cheaper that way.Added on June 18, 2012, 3:59 pmIWC has better bracelet. The case and movement finishing are about the same. Didn't put them under the magnify glass yet QUOTE(ck77 @ Jun 18 2012, 03:54 PM) This post has been edited by sshark: Jun 18 2012, 03:59 PM |

yes i didn't read properly.
what the difference as far as leather straps are concerned? another thing i don't comprehend is the water resistant rating. so what if i wear my watch of 300m with a leather strap of 100m to a depth of 150m. will the strap break and disintegrate at that depth? I can understand the water resistance or water proof marking for a watch. It is water proof up to the tested static water pressure. I don't see how the same applied to the leather straps. Anyway, I seldom wear leather near the sea or pool.
QUOTE(patryn33 @ Jul 14 2012, 06:13 AM) water resistance is tested on calm waters, watches rated at X can get water into watch reaching the depth. The watch will not self destruct or vaporize into the water going beyond the rated value. like wise for leather band, however if U choose to go beyond the rated value U are at your own risk. U can test it out and let us know. get a anonimo strap, u can wear it down to 300m http://www.anonimousa.com/straps.html |

The important thing is how the watch looks when it is worn on your hand.

QUOTE(saru04 @ Aug 30 2012, 12:58 AM) and I'm also here to get suggestions on which is suitable / good for me as I have no knowledge on watches. John Travolta is Breitling's spokesperson. And he's a licensed pilot.I'm open to suggestions and comments. So please also do let me know apart from Breitling, what other brand is good. But if possible, I would like to get recommendations from Breitlings. |

The type the watch that is suitable for you depends on how much you are willing to spend. If you are looking at Breitling you are looking at around RM10k for 2nd hand and RM20k for new. If you want something more affordable seiko and citizen are good choices.

QUOTE(xuzen @ Sep 21 2012, 08:40 PM) There is something that will deter me from owning a Seiko GS. Sadly, it is the same for all JDM models at the moment. I wonder if they will fix 6r15 calibres locally. If the Spring-Drive mecha goes "konk".... have to send back to Japan. Take ages and lots of money spend. Xuzen |

For RM70K (plus a few more Ks) I can get a RG/WG/YG Lange 1 or SS Patek instead of a basic movement with a bronze case. bronze case oxidized easily and I wonder if they will eventually "wore out" in years to come

QUOTE(Everdying @ Sep 30 2012, 11:45 AM) nothing wrong with doing that. Afaik there is no problem turn ur watch hands anti clockwise. However, some watch sellers frowned. They said it would damage the watch. I remember 1 such watch was nautilus. It could be just this fussy sellerusually only way to hurt the movement is to change the date at the wrong time. |
