Just buy the one u like, im back to air cooling atm so i pick up 680 since its quieter with my new ld test bench.... my corsair sleeve cable stuck in custom for 4 days already; ;
*

wow another benchtable owner spotted smile.gif
Do your fans sing on the LD V4 fan vent? I must put a fan filter to make 'em quiet. smile.gif

That cable kit is taxable item? Or total purchase + shipping exceeding RM500? Nowadays Corsair distro requests to send back the whole package including stock cables for RMA so cant sleeve anymore or void warranty sad.gif but fortunately this individual sleeved cable kit comes to rescue, although a lik bit too pricey.

i am tempted with the 680 as there is less driver problems. Its not so much of performance but the hard reset when the game hangs
*

Indeed, nVidia's driver is more stable & has better support.

AMD on the other hand, took longer to fix issues until now still didnt fix the long idle bug causing screen lock up & falling Fps. sad.gif

Added on April 30, 2012, 11:06 pmFor me, 7970 for benching
Gtx680 for gaming with peace of mind.

QUOTE(lichyetan @ May 1 2012, 12:25 AM)
Find out something weird for Gentle Typhoon Ap15 when mounted to BI GTS360 in push.

Eg.
1)When 1st fan in full rpm, silent, no whining sound.
2)When turn on 2nd next to the 1st fan, terrible high pitch whining sound.
3)When slow down 2nd fan, turn 3rd fan to full speed, got some noise, but not the high pitch whinning sound.

Anyone face the same issue ?  smile.gif  sweat.gif
*
that's Typhoon laugh.gif
i think it's normal. Motor resonance, case honey comb vents, air flow turbulence, rad fin density & thickness, vibration, fans not tighten enough or use 2-3 screws
If you were expecting silence, then GT is the wrong fan for you.
There is no fan that is silent at 1850 RPM. It will make some noise.
Noise will get louder when the fans are placed side by side.
if you want quieter, you can tune down the speed with a fan controller.
that's the function of fan controller.

Good if you buy direct and not from apes
with DIAblo3 out today, most fans will be playing and not touching their rig for a while

got your gtx680 yet?
*

ETA for this DC2 block is June. So far didnt see test report from EK yet.

I'm still waiting (im)patiently for the stock from hikari85, since her offer is RM150 cheaper than other selers. Not urgent as i'm using 7970 temporarily.

Plan to order Ice Dragon white fluid, but after calculating the price for 3 bottles shipped to Msia is RM166 per bottle 1L. 4 bottles and above will be taxed as exceeding RM500. Hmm think twice.

Cool.
How is the price of dc2?

Maybe sell the cards and change to 680

My laptop also can play diablo3 at reasonable settings
For the ldpc v8 the 140mm fans are super noisy because of the crap design, if ldpc did hex shape then there is less air noise. Running NB pk2 at 500rpm because the noise is too loud above this
Do you find the same problem as mine?
*

there are 2 models of DC2, OC and TOP edition.
TOP is RM1999 SRP, got offer RM1850.
OC is RM1899 SRP, offer RM1770

As for the singing fans on V8, it's indeed the honeycomb design issue. I'm using DEMCfilter to make it silent.

let me know how it looks
is this 3/8 tubing?
my ldpc is white and black so white tubing should match well
*

1/2 ID 3/4 OD
IMO black and white are easy to couple with any color.

QUOTE(shuhong90 @ May 18 2012, 05:41 PM)
Hmm, i might get some mayhem white paste from UK through my frens. guess will be way cheaper, besides it can mix and match.. still thinking though, no matter how i look at it, i still think opaque coolant in a transparent tube looks nicer ~ lol jz my 2cents lol lol. smile.gif
*

We will wait for APES to carry this white fluid soon smile.gif

QUOTE(KIntos @ May 18 2012, 06:45 PM)
otai owikh, what is your opinion between XSPC, Primoflex LRT tubing & Feser tubing? i might be change to white tubing later since tygon silver is hard to purchase here. i think 3 of them is anti-kink tube right?
*

My experience with Primoflex, Feser, & Tygon. Primoflex has the best bend radius, good for tight turns. No idea on XSPC as this would be my first time using their tubing.

personally never use these fluids before, so dunnuh how they measure up and oso dunnuh which u guys prefer. so gonna take in both mayhem and dragon earliest end May. hoping no issue with customs laa..sweat.gif..

i'm trying really hard not to sound like a spam, but if it's still is, apologies in advance to admin notworthy.gif
*

I personally think that if it's a pre-mix one should be fine, dye will likely to cause stubborn stain on the block. Other than that nothing worries me. I'd pick IceDragon for its performance as claimed in some reviews.

The customs always refer coloured coolant to dye. Dye is a taxable item

I dont think our local distro will carry Hydrocopper. Never even seen 580 HC swim to local market. The only way is to buy any ref 680 + HC block separately from online wc shops.

Swiftech Launches the Apogee Drive II CPU Water-Block with Integrated Pump

QUOTE
Product Description

ap.o.gee: The farthest or highest point; the apex; a final climactic stage

Like a phoenix rising from its ashes, the Apogee™ Drive II integrated pump & waterblock returns to take its place at the helm of Swiftech's CPU waterblock product line. Close to 24 months in the making, it includes all the latest technological advancements that we have to offer:

Best thermal performance: the Apogee™ Drive II manages to achieve better thermal performance than the award-winning Apogee™ HD.
Best hydraulic performance: thanks to the integrated, PWM controlled MCP35X pump, which has established itself as the best-in-class pump on the market, the Apogee™ Drive II is the world's only waterblock that can be considered as a flow enhancing device, as opposed to a flow-robbing device.
Best retention mechanism: proven time and again to satisfy beginners and hard-core enthusiasts alike for its ease of use, reliability, and repeatable results.
Compact form factor enables liquid cooling in space constrained  applications.
Adjustable G1/4 inlet and outlet ports, compatible with all compression fittings.
Illuminated logo in 3 colors: Red, Blue, or green.

eh bro, u have tygon now !?

anyway, would like to ask here, by any chance anyone here order wc items from oversea site such as performance pc or sidewinder ? how long does it takes to reach usually ?
*

Normally they would process order instantly after payment.
Depends on what courier you choose. USPS express took 7-10 days to reach my doorstep.
Actually more time lying at customs dept before clearance.

This shows just how great, or not, Asus' Marketing is. The lower end, more practical, Formula board comes with built-in barbs for WC VRMs, yet the higher end one doesn't.  rclxms.gif
*

I think reason is because Extreme always got 3rd party waterblock ie. EK, Koolance, XSPC, Bitspower while Formula doesn't have smile.gif
