I been reading a lot about watercooling lately, 240 is enough but its not recommended as it wont be giving very low temps. Plus its a no no if you are planning to overclock but for normal usage its enough. Not sure about your setup but you could always add a 120mm rad at your cpu exhaust provided its not a small casing lor. 240mm + 120mm

im using 360 rad (rx360) to cool of my cpu,mobo,ram and 2gpus.
the tempnis quite good.cpu run on stock and gpus are factory oc'ed.

guys,

i've been reading a bit about wc. it seems that distilled water + biocide/silver is better than coolant. does it have any difference in temperature or just easy for maintenance?

from ur experience, when is the time to change the liquid (for maintenance purpose)? every 6 months? once a year?

i'll be using xspc wc kit soon, and this is my 1st time playing wc.

dri pengalaman aku x pernah guna 1 pump utk semua loop2 kecuali pada mula2 main wc..pengalaman hitam on system tapi x perasan pump gagal berkerja akibatnya cpu kebaboom dari situ aku mula guna 2 pump..1 mcp355 pump utk tolak,1 pump mcp655 tuk sedut air dan yg penting kalau salah 1 pump gagal berkerja 1 lagi leh support...semua org tau yg mcp355 untuk loop panjang so dia memang sesuai tuk push air ke loop dan 655 tuk seduk air dri res ke rad..

yes, many prefer using distilled because its cheap & easy for maintenance. If you use dye it might stain your blocks, res etc...so when cleaning its gonna take you some time. Other stuff like pastel etc is expensive...distilled <rm2 only

from what I read many do maintenance every 6months but depends on you la. I haven't finish getting all my components yet (student, poorfag need to use monthly allowance ) but once I get I think I will change the loop water etc once my rig gets dusty...thats my personal idea, not sure yet since haven't setup

& yeah better to add silver coil/biocide. Not sure if both is a must or not for both to exist but I see some just use silver coil & some just biocide. I havent research this part yet but I believe its the easiest, I just finished selecting my rad, pump, tubing, fittings, res, fans after days of research & reading comparison data. Still left to select my pump top & casing

what pump are you planning to use? get a 35x and forget the top and keep your pump warranty and possibly some cash. . unless warranty doesn't really matter to you. haha!
