Just bought a panasonic latest air purifier FVXH50A with humidifying function. Put in my bedroom with Aircon on, I found out that even switch on humidifying function, after 8 hours of sleeping, woke up with very dry feeling, I wonder any panasonic user have same kind of experience?

NANOE ion is suppose to give u moisture to your skin, but how come after using this purifier, it was worse than b4 I am using any purifier?

How an ion can put moisture to your skin? Did it run on water?

Dont know how accurate your meter. I had a dedicated analog meter sometime back, the drop was almost half. For some people they can't take the dry of the Ac. One person is my wife, her throat will feel dry if the humidifier are off. and if you try put a wet towel in the Ac room few hours it will dry. Without Ac the towel will take whole day to dry.  Maybe I like cold and is always <24c
*
I have the dry throat too every morning wakeup. Cause the aircon is blowing at me. But it didn'y cause me anything. No sore throat or whatever sickness. Just have a teeth brush and guggle with water will find. But it cause my throat itchiness when I get recover from sore throat. For 1-2days.

This is pretty normal to get dry for any wet thing in aircon room. Even sometime I hang overnight some wet cloth to dry out for next morning wear.

The aircon must get lower humid inorder for you to feel cooler. Otherwise you will need to set the temperature much more lower to get what you want.

The reading taken after wait for about 10min and longer. Not sure the accuracy as this meter is very new. Will check the accuracy with another humid meter.

The meter is accurate. Put inside the camera drybox which have a humid meter too. Both show same reading.

Want to ask sharp or panasonic better for haze?

2nd question. Which model should I get. Budget about Rm700.
*
Get whatever you can. You have to check your room size too. Otherwise don't complain not effective.

My office is using sharp old model. It is pretty effective. Cost rm1600.

so your conclusion is humidity function does not play an important role in air cond room????just a gimmick point ??
*
Different people different cell and gens. The reading is between the comfort level for me and my wife. And the reading also fall between recommended level. So my conclusion is I don't need a humidifier.

Humid play a role in cool and hot. Not just temperature. 23c seem like cool. But if humid high, you still feel hot. A 28c seem hot to you. But if humid low, you feel cool like 25c.

So if you set your aircon too low temp and you put a humidifier in your room, do you feel hot? Than set lower the temp to compensate it? But your aircon will suck the moisture more if temp lower. I feel like the aircon and humidifier somekind of fighting each other. rclxub.gif

Humidifier mainly is for country which have 4 season. Where some season, the humid is really really low. Our country is humid. That is why our skin is much more nicer than those country. smile.gif

If the air is dry, not only throat will suffer. Your skin will suffer the most. Have you heard about placebo effect? a flour pill can heal your illness if you really believe it is the cure for it. Just like the dry throat.
*
I did experience a very very dry condition ontop of 1 of the japan mountain during spring season. If you moist your lip with your tung, few second will dry out. If you wet a cloth, it will dry out just few minute. My eye need to shuttle more often to moist it. My skin will itchi for few day after coming back.

If you see properly the dial gauge humidmeter that I post before, you can see the range state. 0-30 = very dry, 30-50 = normal and 65-100 = humid. Most of our place are fall on normal range. Even in aircon place, we never set the temp too low till shevering.

Yeah.. I understand.. by looking at your device alone i know it is a good one.

Air cond is just to cool you down to comfortable temperature, usually 28c till 25c. Want to get frozen, better stay in the freezer.

Humidifier can function as air purifier as well you know? when we blow the air in the water, the water will absorb most of the impurity out of the air leaving purified air to the room. The longer the air is in contact with the water, the cleaner the air will get. But humidifying a humid air, i really cannot comprehend this.

If you really need to humidify you room you can DIY with low cost. Just put a bowl of water in front of a fan. The wind will evaporate the water and then humidify the room.

But in asian, country like us, removing the humidity is much more beneficial than make it more humid. Even in dry season like now, we are still humid.
*
Yes. Most of the time we don't need humidifier.

If don't need humidifier, which purifier is recommended?
*
Most of the famous brand will do the work. Like AAF, honeywell, panasonic, sharp etc. The critical point is must have HEPA filter and easy to get spare part.

Last time have 1 don't no what brand korea air filter. Claim the filter is using molten rock. But once expire don't no where to get the filter. End up throw away the unit. Cost me RM2k. sad.gif

Better wash with detergent. Just blow away. but the bacteria and germ are still there.

the rest doesnt have the same coverage area as this one

i have a panasonic for room was thinking to get this for living room since my dining and dry kitchen all connected open space
*
Medklin don't have filter but just generate ion. While sharp have both.

I use medklin before. I m thinking to get back medklin. But their plan now not cheap. Got something like maintainence pay or 1 off pay bullshit. Better get the sharp which can do the something + filter.

100yrs also problem if they don't have shop/office in here to support. If AAF is selling by agen or distributer only, once they close shop, don't no where to get spare part. Can throw away your unit already.

Only selected distributor.
Their HQ and Factory in Shah Alam.

and btw, they provide free service & check up in Klang Valley.
can any other company provide this for free?  rclxms.gif

I don't no about AAF. And they seems like no ads or promote much of their unit. Look like more to comercial than household.

Have you see any ordinary electrical shop or supermarket selling this AAF unit? I see more on panasonic, sharp, philip or medklin in market. So nobody know they have a factory in SH or free service.

Definitely go for sharp. My office using it for over 8yrs. The sensor more sensitive than my nose.

But you got to check your room size with the model. Model too small cannot cover the big room.
