Is CADR (clean air delivery rate) same as Airflow? From their website, i can't find the Airflow measurement in Xiaomi air purifier 2, and no CADR measurement in Sharp air purifier.

Here is a website from uk that can let you choose the air purifier based on what condition you want to filter and how many types of allergen you want to filter. smile.gif

Humidifier is a no no for air purifier. Why? It creates a warm bed for bacteria & virus to grow healthily.
Air purifier main function do is able to remove contaminants, not alter or add in any other stuff.
80% of the air purifier in the market are HEPA rated, it only require the filter to be 0.3 micron filtration size to be rated as HEPA. Most 0.3 micron HEPA only effective removing dust & pollen.

So, you suggest a separate humidifier unit?

As i know air purifier is totally different from air humidifier.

An air purifier or air cleaner is a device which removes contaminants from the air in a room. These devices are commonly marketed as being beneficial to allergy sufferers and asthmatics, and at reducing or eliminating second-hand tobacco smoke. The commercially graded air purifiers are manufactured as either small stand-alone units or larger units that can be affixed to an air handler unit (AHU) or to an HVAC unit found in the medical, industrial, and commercial industries. Air purifiers may also be used in industry to remove impurities such as CO2 from air before processing. Pressure swing adsorbers or other adsorption techniques are typically used for this.

A humidifier is a device that increases humidity (moisture) in a single room or an entire building. In the home, point-of-use humidifiers are commonly used to humidify a single room, while whole-house or furnace humidifiers, which connect to a home's HVAC system, provide humidity to the entire house. Medical ventilators often include humidifiers for increased patient comfort. Large humidifiers are used in commercial, institutional, or industrial contexts, often as part of a larger HVAC system.

Based on consumer condition which they want to choose. If want remove those contaminants that will cause sore throat or cough then is air purifier. If want to add moisture or increase humidity to the dry air then is the function of humidifier.

So far i think there is no any website that specific can compare this two different brand air purifier. But you can go here https://www.allergyuk.org/get-help/products...ifiers#products as it can compare many types of air purifier based on the requirements that consumers need as it endorses certain products that restrict or remove high levels of allergens and gives them a Seal of Approval. It depends. My brother has dry skin issue so we bought a humidifier put in his room and it helps improve the condition.
