For sgls to rent. If you horny. You are lucky with the divorced, single, makeup and extremely friendly lady owner. Who knows you can rent for free. Then cabut later... lol. wink.gif

Out of 11,161 new PR in 2010:
85% > 5 years stay
83% > diploma and above
56% < 30 years old
43% > S$4,000 per month income

This is pretty normal lah. So, once you stayed here for 5 years, better convert lah. Don't waste time, enjoy the free money and perks.

The Klang BKT franchise also not bad. I didn't say its bad hor. I had the dried type one. The soup is separate. Kinda kinky.

The famous one in JB is just behind the store. Next to Honly badminton shop. Can easily see it. Sure got many singaporean eat there one. I normally bring an extra (kiasu) can of mushroom and tambah.. lol

Got scholarship, just take lah. In Yishun basement 2, the briyani is good. Just follow the long q. Just pick whatever others are picking. "Yau yong, hok yong, Mou yong hok wor siong". lol wink.gif

I got a buddy taking asean scholarship and studied in oxford, the work in GIC and morgan stanley and the back to MIT and then kena curi to BKK Bank by his wife now. Bit shot.

Talking about jobs. If you are only a WP or PR worker, you need to expect discrimination now days. Priority is moving towards Singaporeans. For those who already set foot here for 5 years. Convert lah. Don't waste time and felt insecure about jobs.

I also felt sorry for local IT workers. Most of the Sys Adm and DBA job goes to indians. Thanks to outsourcing and CEO fat cats trying to earn big money. Now, the government is facing the brunt of it. This means singapore locals or SPR doesn't have the skill to manage servers or databases? Phui... looking low on asean... wink.gif

Agree with you. This normally applies to PMET old bugger like me la.. lol

I've just got the approval and coverted. Very fast for a degree holder. 3 months kao tim. rclxm9.gif

My HDB fully paid. I can sell more than 500K and buy a new one at 300K. So, I cannot complain lah. Just enjoy my semi retirement here. Go back makan kuat kuat. lol. wink.gif drool.gif

Kids also so used to here already. wink.gif They won't go back to Malaysia one la...

sgd$200K is good money lor... lol. rm$500K la...wink.gif Psst. This is the tipping point for me... lol. icon_idea.gif

Then can work in Garment office and more relax and eat up more bonus. wink.gif whistling.gif

Nothing to loose actually. Then you can always migrate to Aus or USA if you don't like it here. wink.gif No need VISA some more. Less hassles. thumbup.gif

Dang, you are easy to sway.

Bro, I've been in Sg for 20 years lah. Kids also growing up. You think the kids or me will have more opportunities in Malaysia? I am working with more than $10Ksgd income here. Which freaking company in Malaysia will hire me? I am even paid better than Jibby. lol. BTW, there's a loop hole in HDB where if your employer is good enuf to lower the salary less than $10K, you will be eligible for HDB-BTO. 12K below is for EC and DBSS.

What is your thought like? How many years you have been working in Sg? Can you share your concerns? It is good for readers to judge for themselves to see which country is greener for them. wink.gif

For those looking for job in Sg, please be patient coz you are also competing with the locals AND Indians, Indonesian Chinese, Pinoys and Chinese from China. So, it is very competitive. You have to move in very low and then move up from there. Can't afford to be picky. Hope this helps.

for the first time, i agree with you...but only the bolded part.
move in very low...this is as if u are trying to destroy your own market.
why would anyone want to destroy their own market?

Bro,

In SG there is no minimum sum salary lah. How?
In my company the programmers paid between 1500sgd-3000sgd.
Poject Managers paid from 3000-6000sgd.

So, if you want the job and competing with others which can be much more hardworking and efficient than you. What would you do? Wait ka?? Tan kuku ka? icon_idea.gif

BTW, can share your experience in SG? You worked there I believe? What I am doing is to encourage kids to come and have a good life. In the mean time, since they are young, let them do some job and keep busy and gain the experience they can so that they can be future high flyers. What is your aim or agenda? Anything against sg or low salary people? or Is your position being threatened? wink.gif rclxub.gif

btw, the salary less than 10K is only temporary for 3 months. So, as long as you are below 10K salary and show your CPF for 3 months, you are approved. On the 4th month, you can go back to your normal pay. This is what the locals have been doing la.. U sure u worked here before? hmm.gif

So they have asked if I could join them under the pretense of freelance/consultation work (software field).

hen do your own research to find out your range with your experience and skill set.
You are advising everyone to go low without doing your own research.

Bro,
Maybe you missed my point. I am happy with anyone who can get the amount of money they want. I am absolutely happy with it.

I am implying to those who are desparate and has been waiting for a long long time. Tak ada masa tunggu la kawan... wink.gif

In cantonese, oi lei jau fai sau.. (mau mari cepat tangan la)...

Please do not put the word into my mouth that I force you to low wages hor. You think I so free is it? lmao... Of course the saying goes that if you have a good qualification, good experience, competent and can wait, might as well ask for market or above market rate. I totally agree with this. Why so bodoh to take low wage? wink.gif

For the girl.
good for employer cause they pay less.
bad for u because u get less.
so good for who?

I was replying to this that it is only a 'temporary' measure wor.. I do not mean to berlagak la... Sorry if I you felt I did.

My aim is to help out anyone who 'wanted to come'. I couldn't bother to people who are already working here because they should know the good and the bad already. Having working here I believe I see more bad things which I believe many of you will fall trap to 'one fine day'. So, just jaga jaga. It can be painful, coz I kena already (not running against the law hor, just some discriminatory policy towards 'non citizen').. suspense rite...

I am lazy with quotes man. lol. So many to reply to. Multitaskin is not easy. lol.

I only mentioned 10k once ma...? so many meh?? walau, I kena arrow liao.. U also can work hard to earn 20k ma.. its just a number mate.

Low means reasonable amount for you to live with. I am not talking dead low about 1-2k that low. (when u see me extremepower, it doesn't mean 500sgd or 1k that low or 50K that high mah).

So, as long as you can survive, go Universal Studios, Disco and happy happy, kautim. Beres. Also, can 'lansee' and tell your msia working fren, 'Hey, I got more money leh and happy happy more girlfriend leh. They feed me some more. Want to come ka?... lmao'. Case solved. Then just apply for another job. The important thing is to get the first EP, WP or PR. Comprehendo? wink.gif

mate, there are so many factors. Slowdown is definitely a yes. If I am the employer, I prefer to have them stay here and meet up with me. I wouldn't make international calls unless that candidate is like Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie. wink.gif Remember, you have competitors from other countries as well. Supply and demand comes into play. wink.gif

jobstreet.com.sg got lots of recruitment companies for you to contact. Also, note that they will get 3 good candidates for the interview. So, at times you may be loosing out if you travel long distance. wink.gif But, no venture, no gain. Just hantam. wink.gif

Yes. I agree that you can call them up. It is easier for sure.

Note that for those already working. They will also fish for your job. Meaning, they may call your boss and ask if they need someone to replace you. Careful ya.. lol. Some are very unprofessional. wink.gif
