I have a question in general. I have two amps RF T-1000.1 bdCP and RF T500.1 bdCP. Let's say i'm going for sq setup. Which amp should be better for powering a subwoofer. Is the "bigger the better" rule apply here?

Yeah. If SPL it sure does. But u know lah. Buying sub that can support 1000rms. Expensive ooo...

If the 500rms is enough. Than better to stick to it. Rite? But my concern is whether the 500 could get the deep, low base as compared to the 1000. If u can get the same deep, punchy low base, with lower power ( maybe with a bit of tuning and setting) then why bother with higher power rating.

I like to hear all kinds of music at low and moderate volume. But deep, low base is a must. Thats why SPL is not for me. Well... Of course i would like to blast my system. But only for the sake of showing off. Not all the time. Hehehe...

since u got both amp, just keept he most powerful 1 la...

for deep low bass, imho sub is more important than amp. u oledi have a sub?

But really miss the bass la. Dunno until when can tahan subless (dear GOD, please give me strength not to use those plastic money). Hehehe... Yes component have bass. But good at 50% volume and above. How long can hear?

Im thinking of either JL or RF subs. already heard RF P3 (single and double 12" and even single 15). Well... For me can say ok lah (maybe setting not to my taste kot?) but T1.... Heard one 15", ported. Hmmm. Nice buggers. Damn. Nice on your pockets too. Hahaha... What to do. Can only drool...

But I nevet heard any JL in action before. Anybody in penang have them installed. Want to audit. Hehehe...

the more powerful one easier to sell i think, keep the less powerful one. usually sq subs dont require so much power one. can use the money from the bigger amp to get amp for your components..

Bro, if can sell i would sell the smaller one and use the money to buy RF T1 sub (have to top up a bit la). Oni thing is its smuggled. Afraid leh...

never consider high power = blast....high power give u more better ambient if u tune it right...although most ppl only use high power to blast...

as an example,
JL W7 with high power are not meant for SPL, it's meant for better sub freq response. it's always missed use by ppl that think high power = blast

I would have gone with a SQL sub to get the best of both world... I tried a lot of sub and still idmax gets my vote. High sensitivity means u dun need huge power to drive it, but given the rite power, I think it will blast ur ears out too...

Anyone heard morel ultimo sub before? read some gud reviews abt them.

enclosed gives it deeper and more power hungry to move the woofer... nowadays this brand is getting unfamous but their quality is way better than those commercial brand such as alpine, pioneer, kenwood, RF and banyak banyak lagi...

IDMax. Googled it. Seems to have good reviews. They are comparing it to jl W7. Some even say better. I dunno. Never heard of it until today. Anyway. I dont think there are any in malaysia.
