so, if i order games, how will it be taxed?

won't be taxed unless your orders are >RM500. ok here's the confusing part.
some says rm500 includes postage, some do not.

i kena 2 situations before liao so i share. I order from HLJ, exlude postage is 470+. with postage it's 560. kena tax.

2nd time i buy 2 WRS+PSP game from amiami, +postage it's about 550. no kena tax.

josh shared to me buy from HLJ got more likelihood of kena taxing, while amiami not. haha

me is from the generation that only buy goods from brick and mortar shops.... mainly coz my family doesnt really trust online...
but i would try this time, coz need to buy the thing i wanted so bad i would take the first step.

The RM500 includes postage fees .

There are times if the declared value + shipping goes slightly above RM500, the kastam officers turn a blind eye. I'm not really sure why myself.

Of course if you ship something huge/multiple boxes that total greatly over RM500 in a single day..you don't really expect the kastam officers to pretend it's not there.

P.S My experiences are all with EMS. Can't say the same for other shipping types

Oh and about the tax, there really isn't any definite 'pattern' IMO. Our kastam here is as random as one can possibly be. Not really speaking from experience but I've got friends who got taxed 1 out of 3 or 4 times he ships from the US (regardless of item type, price and shipping method used). As for me...well, I've tried having 3 separate shipments that were sent out together from Amiami, all totalling nearly RM500. But nope, no tax. Whereas there are cases of people getting taxed even when it's just ONE shipment totalling less than RM500.

So yeah, I'd like to think of it as a more order-then-pray sort of thing here. Which kinda sucks, really.

Hmm maybe depends on box size also? If big big one once exceed RM 500 sure kena.
Btw for online shop, for custom evasion I like Mandarake the most They declare the value less than what it should be, and label it as "Used Toys"
