QUOTE(MyKy44 @ Jan 30 2012, 10:08 PM) Hence why if you ever decide to place orders on your own from overseas websites, you should always consider combining shipping with at least one other item to reduce the overall shipping ratio. I am personally shipping my BRSB with just another item and my combined price still gives me both items at a price that is lower than anything you can find locally. Maybe not by much as it is not like I'm buying in bulk but still cheaper nonetheless and at the very least there's a near 100% guarantee for your stock and it being authentic. Besides, if there was ever any problems, these sites would (normally) gladly resend you a replacement. Not like it's ever needed in my experience of ordering and buying overseas for the past decade. Just my two cents. |

QUOTE(MyKy44 @ Jan 30 2012, 11:53 PM) Haha another thing to note is in said past decade of buying, I've never kena tax... Be it ordering for myself, helping friends with purchases, etc. I don't know but if you asked me, I don't think it warrants a tax for any reason for getting something like that. I've ordered those exclusives previously as well that comes with games and whatnot, sometimes even giving a total of over RM500 (which a lot of people think is within the 'safety zone' before you get taxed out of your life) and yet, they always safely arrive without hassle. Maybe I'm lucky, maybe not. I really can't say for sure but I still believe in ordering on my own. Feels better, somehow. |

QUOTE(Nichol90 @ Jan 31 2012, 12:02 AM) ..then you are very lucky - I've visited Kastam so many times that the officers know me on sight OTL. I believe getting slightly over Rm500 is okay (I've had a few myself) but grossly over the limit with large boxes or multiple boxes, and they'll happily kidnap your package. Haha I go with SAL Registered mostly unless EMS is absolutely necessary. but mostly I do my own rough calculations and decide which is the best option when the items are ready to ship. Normally a 10-day wait (on average but the fastest I've ever received a shipment is within a week) which is only a bit longer than EMS but I still receive the items nonetheless. A little longer won't kill if it ensure you save up some. Save up a little in each shipment, and before long you'll realize that those same savings has allowed you another new shipment from nothing. Haha. Besides, SAL Registered is trackable as well, so it's all good. Out of curiosity though, what shipping do you usually use? All my tax woes have been with EMS shipments. /shrugs Then the total is 8640JPY. Which is (around) Rm350. Yeah, it's expensive, but unless you're willing to take the risk it'll go on sale later, that's probably(IMO) the best price you'll get it for. And I wouldn't count on aiming for the sudden sales for the item. Most of the time, you're gonna have to camp at the site to avoid missing out on it. Not fun to refresh the same page for God knows how many times in the middle of the night. Trust me, I've done it before. But I completely disregard such options nowadays so I don't mind paying it for its worth. This post has been edited by Joshlkw: Jan 31 2012, 12:13 AM |

QUOTE(Senjou @ Jan 31 2012, 12:27 AM) I somehow don't recall anything like that. If you're talking about the standard edition that was mentioned, I believe that is the set with only the artbook and no Figma. Haven't heard anything about a standard Figma-only release. This post has been edited by Joshlkw: Jan 31 2012, 12:38 AM |

QUOTE(snoopcow @ Jan 31 2012, 12:29 PM) Which is actually very good in a way, considering the fact that those papers are pretty much your last line of defense (haha) that keeps your item out of harm's way should the outer box receives damage. Most of the time anyway. Without any, it'll be as good as guaranteed you'll receive less than mint boxes. I think I'd rather pay a little extra than get damaged new items. But oh well, that's just me. |

QUOTE(Senjou @ Jan 31 2012, 10:14 PM) Haha no worries, man. It would be really good news for some if there really is going to be a Figma-only release for BRSB. Though from what I can see, the art book itself looks pretty impressive so it's not really a big deal. Then again, this is not even close to being the most expensive Figma yet and many fellow collectors here have bought more expensive and exclusive Figmas before so I don't really see the price as much of an issue. But yes, the box is very big and heavy indeed. Lol |

QUOTE(Nichol90 @ Feb 2 2012, 11:40 PM) Lol when was the last time you went to amiami's site? Haha yeah to a more standard link. Which is, to their credit, a lot more convenient. Should have done it a long time ago, though.http://www.amiami.com/ It loads just fine for me Oh, Joshlkw beat me to it... I suspect you haven't visited amiami since the site revamp, they changed their address then |
