You mean you switch hard discs in 1 PS3? That one should be no problem. What I can't do is take my YLOD PS3's hard disk and put it into another PS3 to check the content.

have 2 question wanna ask... notworthy.gif

1) guys... wanna ask about clearing the dust inside PS3. would need to disassemble the cover to clear the dust? or can just vacuum thru the vent? i read disccussion that says can vacuum the dust thru the vent.... anyone tried?

2) yesterday i ter-off (accidently pull the wrong the plug) my PS3 unit and turn it on back, it go thru checking and restore process. it shows it will take 2 - 3 hours for the process. after 2 hours... still "checking and restoring" @ 10% =.= i leave it and go to bed with a fan direct blow to it. morning i woke up it is @ 22% =.= it is 8 hours at 22% @.@ ... well, i still leave it "checking and restore" after i go to work.

anyone experience this before?

I've gotten check hdd screen before, but takes abt less than 3 minutes.

Assumed you left it like tht and went to work. Why not when come back, if no changes, just do hard restart and let it do another check?

well from what i learn..YLOD occurred after a long period of playing with it..and usually it happen while you are playing long time without rest...but from my case..if i play it long enough..like maybe 30 min ( during that time probably will turn off once) after that it fine..it wont occured anymore...as i rarely turn it on...maybe 1 week once or 2 week once...
