Bought 3 unit Joven water heater, 2 units are i88P(RS) and one is i30LP. Yesterday technician come to install, one i88P once turn on heater RCCB trip. Tested internal short on live & neutral wiring. WTF, did they even test it before ship out the unit?? Now have to call Joven service center come to repair. mad.gif

i30LP not come with rain shower. Only i88P wih rain shower. Around RM550 if not mistaken.
Another thing is the booster pump is noisier than i expected. Compare to my Panasonic DH-3KP2M, the water pressure is more or less same but Joven is alot noisier despite the 'silent plus' slogan. sweat.gif

Anyway, if you want rain shower make sure the water pressure is high enough, or else useless at all. My case i expect too much on the built in pump now even with pump the water pressure is not enough, so i plan to install pump at the tank output, but will make my built in booster pump useless, which waste of money.

I wonder are they start to manufacturing in china.

This is unexpected. Such important device which will cause electric shock if not properly installed is not 100% checked before shipment, i found this is totally unacceptable.

Actually the pump is just restore the pressure loss in the heater and internal path. heater with pump output = output without heater. doh.gif

Do you guys service your water heater? It seems that it will lose its heat over time and sometimes it doesn't even it will fail to heat up. I'm using joven 880P.

I want to install storage water heater, is this possible?
With the piping inside, can i proceed with storage heater?

Btw, normally what piping will it be? Copper?

Hi all, if I leave my water heater socket power on all the time even when not using the heater, will it consume electricity?

Because my water heater socket switch is too high and hard to access, it would be a nuisance to have to turn it on / off every time. So I plan to just leave it on there.

Go get the newer technology, the tankless instant water heater. Anyhow i think it is safer than the conventional instant water heater since there is no direct contact between heating elements and water.

Saving wise, not sure, should be the no much different. In fact the conventional one, direct contact with heating element should be more efficient, dont get mislead. There is no short cut to energy saving from electric energy convert to heat energy regardless of technology. The only saving is how not to loss energy as by product while converting.

But check the price first the new technology might be more expensive.

Dear Stevie:

Do you know now any model in the market where there is no direct contact between heating elements and water?

Hi All,

I like to raise everyone concern on Water Heater

Today, there is another dead from Water Heater during Shower

The Water goes through a Compartment , which is made of Plastics & Inside is the heating Element.

A Good Brand, Japanese made, uses PA66 or what you may known as Nylon
The Best PA66 does not break. therefore it does not leak water

A bad design brand, in which I have seen uses PP or Polypropylene + other stuff. You've seen PP everywhere, like those coffee shop Chairs.
They will break in which the water will leak and touches the Board.
The Current then will follow the water and electrocute you.

So please make the right choice to benefits you
Your purchase should not benefits the Lousy Product Maker

Good Luck
