I'm looking to install Rinnai gas water heater for my double story terrace.

So far the quote i got is the following,

Rinnai 16L external gas water heater. RM2300

Plumbing and installation using hanson poly piping for 3 bath, 1 kitchen and installation of water pump. RM4800
Question here, do you guys this is worth of investment? The plumbing charges is so expensive  cry.gif

Why not get those instant type? Cheaper but have to take some extra precaution.

Slaughter chicken ah? 25L fully heat up can take more than 10mins bath when power is off la. Unless shower with 100% hot water.  A standard shower head is 9+Liter/min if 25L tank can provide almost 3mins of pure 100% hot water, and we usually mix 1/3 to 1/4 of hot water only. Dont forget the heater is also running.
I am using 35L, can take two bath and still left with hot water.

Heated water tank will maintain temperature of 70-85°C.
If full heat, such temperature can boil our skin already.
By mixing it to cold water, assuming to get 36°C of warm water for bath with cold water at 30°C, the ratio will be 20% hot water + 80% cold water. It will be enough for 2 hours of bath.

Standard is 70c max in storage. That's why I mention earlier 25L storage is sufficient for one toilet. And we usually set  40+-c. That work to be ( 6L of 24c + 3L 70c ) for 39.3c temperature at 9L/min flow. Further more heating element still running.

My place the setting is 80°C sweat.gif
That's why if using heated tank, no need to bother much on water will be cold or not(keep electric bill behind on this) laugh.gif

It is almost impossible to empty a 25L of storage tank heated water as the outlet piping is like 3/4 of the way up on tank.
One will be able to slowly feel the premix temperature is slowly dropping after a continuous 8-10mins shower.
The bigger the tank say 35L or 45L, the continuous premix temperature is maintained longer.

With 20/80 of the ratio I said, it can last for 1-2 hours.
Remember, once heating element running, it will keep the water hot then warm.

Yours is a vertical mounted model?

Yup, in Qatar, now is winter. So the heated water will set higher at 80°C and it do cut in very fast due to water temperature are about 15°C.
The electric bill in the place I stay is about rm900 a month(1 riyal = rm1). Already tested for 2 hours and it is still warm like I replied earlier. But this type of wastage are bill killer whistling.gif

because the pump in apartment already strong

if use water heater with pump, it will make the pump easily rosak
is it true?
no need to use water heater with pump in apartment?

If you are having relatively good water supply pressure, you can just get the instant heater that does not come with pump, it is cheaper than build in pump also nod.gif

rinnai does this... but with high pressure probably your water temperature isnt hot enough
especially during night time and day time where the water inlets are very cold... with high pressure the water might not be fully heated up when u use...
then u get the issue of the water not being hot enough
*
Pressure won't really affect heating capacity, the flow does nod.gif

yeap, thats why when you have a booster pump and the water flow too fast for the heating element to heat up the water
you feel your water being alil too chill for your liking
*
You need residence time for water to heat up hmm.gif
